Remove "Exit match" option ?
Just thought about it : now, with DC penalty, people are punished for using a function in the game. Why not remove it ? (along keeping DC penalty for other ways to DC)

No. Sometimes people genuinely have to leave, or they are being held hostage. Survs being held hostage is going to become more common now btw,as killers know that they have to suffer the queue penalty in order to leave.
And the survs who dislike the killer/map ot whatever will just kill themselves on hook, so the dc ban system will done nothing but get people held longer and increase matchmaking times. Pretty good job.

Punished for using a function in the game.. Why do you word it like that? You think people shouldn't be punished for abandoning the match prematurely? Why did they even hit 'Ready', then?

Since the feature was first added, people have always been punished for disconnecting excessively, and the button has always been there regardless.
It's there to give people who are forced to DC, either because the game is legitimately being held hostage or because they have to quit for irl reasons, a way to do so without forcing the whole game to close.
Both the old penalty system and the new one exist to punish people not for using the feature, but for abusing it.

Most online games with a "quit match" feature have a penalty for it (Tekken is the one I think first). Just because there's the option doesn't mean you should do it.

Because people can just force-quit in numerous ways that cannot ever be stopped, like cutting off the connection entirely.

That's exactly my point. There are several ways to quit the game (suicide, close app, pull the cable) so the exit match option is rather unuseful, even more now you get a penalty by using it.

Well I word it the way it is. I'm all for the DC penalty, I hate when people leave like that, but if DCs are forbidden, why let people do it with a simple button ?

This options is needed sometimes.
Instead remove the ability to suicide on hook. If you have to quit, leave the game and take a small penalty or stay and don't ruin the game for other players.

It's useful because force-quitting is not a proper way to close the game, it's led to corrupt saves before, and i think they prefer to keep that as low as possible.
And what if you're bugged in a certain position? Can't suicide your way out, and again, force-quitting might corrupt your save.
It's also not like only the button will net you a penalty.

That's the problem with the DC stuff.
Now people are either not gonna care and still dc because they don't want to play that game or they will kill themself on hook.
I for one, if I don't wanna be in the game or something comes up. I'm either going afk or I'm killing myself on hook.
I'm not gonna wait a time out just because killers want things how they want them and that's that.
Killers are now gonna get mad and upset because they will only get one hook. This dc crap is a double edged sword. But everyone asked for it. So everyone has to deal with it now.
