How hard is it to re-enable Christmas menus/props?
BHVR, You want to skip making new event objectives? Okay, fine. You stated a while back that was the case going forward. Cool, got it.
But why not just re-enable the Winter Solstice menu music from previous years with the snow? Why not add the (existing) models of lights on barrels, hooks and lockers? It's one thing to not enable the Winter Boxes on the bloodweb, it's another to just ignore the seasonal flavor that adds nothing new to gameplay.
Many players like myself look forward to the festivities games like DbD offer for the holidays. The decision to not add any of the winter theme (outside of paid cosmetics + Bill sweater) seems pointless and there is literally no excuse or reason to leave them sidelined.

You got a christmas tree charm.
Merry Christmas....
Other games got extra activities, free/earned costume sets, special event items with special effects, winter themed atmosphere and overall winter celebrations.
We got a grind that lasted from Halloween into the next year that rewards a halloween skin... if you bought the battlepass.
I wrote that before reading the post...
Yea, it would probably break the game, matchmaking, sounds, ranking, basement, powers, perks, loading screens etc if they changed the setting to the wintery one we've had before.
They're probably playing it safe...

Renabling those Christmas props probably would break the sounds even more, thanks to spaghetti code.
No thanks, I would rather hear the little bit of footsteps sounds we have left, than get Christmas hooks.

It's not just a matter of flicking a switch. Unless the old Christmas menu/props etc. has been updated actively from last year to work on this years committed codebase, it's not just a matter of copy and paste. This is BHVR, if there was anything even closed to finished they'd push it out. That's what they do.

They also push out things that are not even close to being finished, so yeah ...

That's what I was getting at. The point stays the same, it's not just a matter of copy/pasting last years code over top of this years code. It's changed SO much since last year.
