Boring? You mean difficult? Or too easy?

I see that we have a seer here among us. There are not even full details about doctor changes, not even released on PTB, not even live and some salty survivors know that it will be "boring" play against. Now tell that he will be OP and go cry for nerf of unreleased reworked character. Can I borrow your mystic crystal ball for lotto?

dont worry they always make FUN killers and his rework gonna be FUN for survivors because they always pamper survivors :)

Doc will be more annoying/boring killer to go against.

Im sure they will pamper their precious survivors 😂 But they will cry anyway

sad truth.

He no longer causes Exhaustion with his add-ons.

At least wait untill we know about all the details of his changes, ok ?

Güd bait

I'm confused... He is already one of the most boring killer to go against and without doubt the most annoying. You can't make him more boring and annoying lol
4 -
Nothing about what they said sounds boring At all. And even I hate facing current doctor because I suck

Yes being able to shock one time every minute is soooo boring for survivors omg
1 -
Remember the rule is "Fun to play against NOT as."

Reversed shaking skillchecks, lullaby, ruin. So fun to go against. I don't care if he's good or bad. They make killers annoying to go against, not scary at all. I don't care if i die or not. I want fun games, not depressing

Its not boring, you just don't like losing. The killers are supposed to be the power role in the game, not survivors.
1 -
I told you i don't care losing or not mr. killer main. I play killer too. Reversed skill checks doesn't mean that i lose the game big brain.

Can we wait till we actually see a PTB for doctor for this stuff?
1 -
So I'm a killer main for stating that in a horror genre game the killer is supposed to have the power.

If you can hit regular skillchecks you should be able to hit reversed ones as well for the most part. Also I don't see why someone would run Lullaby it's a waste of a perk slot, especially because it's a Hex perk.

these changes will make doctor stronger simply because you dont have to switch modes to shock and shock range has been slightly buffed. idk how having a stronger killer will make him boring to play against if anything its the opposite.

That's pretty subjective.
Nightmare was changed mainly because feedback said he was generally unfun to both play as & against.
Whether you think that feedback was legitimate or not is something we can discuss elsewhere.
Anyway, they remade him, and reception is apparently a lot better.
Yet i saw enough discussions pass by here stating, while he's definitely a lot stronger now, some still preferred his older self, sometimes even requesting a way to choose the older version.
If you'll find the new Doctor to be not fun at all, but reception is generally good, then...too bad?

I find doctor pretty intense most of the time

Its not like anyone plays him. I barely see Doctor.

How is he going to be boring to play against? The iridescent king change seems like it will be a nerf to some degree unless the static charge stays on for a LONG time. Otherwise, most good survivors will stay away from their comrades and not gleefully pass along the shock. The static blast thing needs to be seen to know if it's a buff, nerf, or a push. I think they said it has a 60s cooldown, which is a pretty big gamble. Whispers will be huge for doc if it is that long of a cooldown.
I want to see if the new shock therapy still blocks vaults/pallet drops and if the other addons have been reworked or are largely the same. Let's just see how it plays out instead of looking at it already thinking it's going to be boring.

2 perks you can deactivate both of which you'll learn is in the game within 10 seconds if you start a gen or spawn on top of the hex totem. Add on that you have to have been in a chase against him, or him to shock blast you twice for those reversed shaking skill checks to happen if his current addons are anything to base on (madness 1 will be instant still I assume, but still requires the blast or a therapy hit), but the reverse checks will only happen on 2.

king isn't getting changed that much, you're talking about the addition of the iridescent queen addon. only change king is getting is the removal of t3 madness = exhaustion and the addition of madness causes skill checks to be reversed

Oh wow, I thought I heard them say it was Iri king getting reworked to that. I guess I wasn't paying attention enough to catch that it's a new pink addon. That's actually freaking awesome.
1 -
I'm tired of the devs balancing for survivor 'fun' but not taking into account what is fun for the killer.
2 -
Reverse skill checks make you pay attention instead of holding down one button and doing nothing, the unexpected skill check that’s reversed will make you think twice. I love how survivor mains say “this killer is boring” yet they always lose to them xD quit watching Scott And play the game instead of complaining because you have to deal with something unexpected. Only survivor mains would complain about a buff to the doctor one of the worst killers in the game. I can’t wait to see what they do when bubba gets some kind of speed buff or something and becomes a top killer, the survivor mains will cry blood, which I’ll collect while playing oni and ######### them up with my flick that’s being buffed.

Why is everyone being so mean on this thread?

This is not what happened. When we've been testing the Doctor, I ask the players "is it fun?" The general impression ranges from same amount of fun to much more fun. Personally, I like the new one a lot better in terms of Killer fun.
Try it on PTB once that goes live and see how you feel about it! :)

Is Legion fun? The answer is no. Is nurse fun? The answer is no.

He won't be boring. Just less annoying.
I actually like the whole "getting rid of passive madness" thing, to be honest. No more skill-free tracking, and no more being found when you haven't been seen. It's nice not to be punished for simply "existing".

The impression I got from the designer on the last Q&A was the main reason for Doc's changes were to make him less annoying to go against. He stressed that point several times. And even when the rework was announced prior to that it seemed like there was more emphasis on making sure he was fun to play against rather than to play as.

Hmm the only thing they will change is the static field (gaining madness passively) into static blast (gaining a lot of madness and you decide when to active it). You still have the therapy schock attack. So you can shock survivors like you normally do.
