People still DC every match
Wasn't this supposed to have been fixed?

This is taking too long, they said they were going to have implemented the system months ago. They're just too scared to punish people in fear of losing paying customers. Same reason why games don't stop hacking.

I'm afraid we can't get dc punishments with the current state of the game. It's just too buggy.
If the game was more reliable and people wouldn't get kicked from the game all the time, then yes, please punishments for dc's. But DbD is apparently just too buggy. :(

Unfortunately was just a test, but hopefully they will add the punishments soon as a permanent feature.
We need to get rid of people that don't want to play the game.

It is really fun going through the twitch section of DbD, and watching all these survivor mains DC for reasons unrelated to bugs. They just rage quit.
It's evident in these comment sections as well. Everyone is trying so desperately to hold on to their right to DC from matches they consider unfun or unfair. I honestly don't think anyone is fooled by it.

To not punish people who don't deserve it, the system needs more work.

Not really, they just know how buggy the game is to penalize dcs. Also, Idk why you guys care so much about dc penalties when people just kill themselves

Wait you were tired of waiting a hour so you uninstalled? Instead of just waiting three days to play?

Well they talked about "punishments" for disconnecting. At the same time players feel they should be able to leave a match that has tanked, or one in which their challenge attempt is obfuscated.
Instead of imposing a time penalty, consider a loss of 15,000 blood points for the SECOND disconnect within an hour. If the player has no bloodpoints in bank they have to pay off the blood debt.
The other alternative is when a match has a player disconnect, all remaining players including the killer are guaranteed a black pip.

If they were too scared to punish people the system would not be getting worked on and the test would never have happened at all.
The test served its purpose and showed the system cleary isnt ready when it punished players who did nothing wrong and the game itself crashed. This needs to be addressed as a high priority for this system.
Quite frankly the game needs a crash report system so the game can see once one is auto generated that it wasnt the players fault. It also needs to check the code when a DC happens to see if there was anyone stuck etc even if it means you have two option with one being to do a check which allows a leave when something is found without punishment and the other a straight leave for when its a legit real life scenario.

You actually uninstalled the game for a day or two? What are you short of hard drive space?
Edit sorry saw someone else basically asked you the same thing lol
