Teammates

I play solo survivor here and there, and when I play with friends there is usually a spot left for someone random to join. I'm not saying all random survivors are bad, but I play on console and most of them are #########. It gets so frustrating when a random sits right next to you on the hook while the killer is far away. I'm also a rank 4. I just wanted to post this to rant I guess, there isn't really any other reason. But have you guys ever have this happen to you? Cause when it happens to me, I get so mad I wanna throw my ps4 out the window 😂.

As someone who plays 99% solo as survivor I can say the exact same thing about SWF players. I'm not taking a shot at you here but trying to point out that sadly many people lack awareness of what is happening during the match or have a different mindset than you.

Many people who play SWF will prioritize a friends safety over a random players safety even if in doing so they hurt the team as a whole, (not everyone mind you) and as a solo player you may feel more inclined to save your own hide vs someone else.

Basically my point is I don't really see a difference in solo vs SWF players (when it comes to good/bad team plays) as it all adds up to how aware they actually are during the match and what their specific mindset of "goals" actually entail. Experience also plays a big part as some people know their own limits far better than others and will take calculated risks more frequently.

SWF have screwed me over way too many times as a solo survivor. So for us solos, we not only have to worry about the killer, but also the SWF. This is on red ranks on PS4. Sometimes they'll be overly altruistic and all of them go down in a very quick manner, other times they'll be super toxic and body block you/be toxic to the killer, at times they'll be playing with their yellow rank friends which unfortunately puts us at a disadvantage, they'll prioritize themselves on the hooks and leave you to die on your first, etc.

I run kindred now so I can see what everyone else is doing when someone else is hooked. If my generator is almost finished, I will prioritize it first before going for the rescue UNLESS I see that you're almost going into the struggle phase.
