We are investigating an issue in the game that causes strobing/flashing lights, and are focused on fixing it as soon as possible. Some players may be impacted by this issue and experience discomfort from it, so we recommend taking proper precautions.

And until we fix this issue, we recommend that players with photosensitivity, or who have an epileptic condition or have had seizures of any kind consult their physician before playing.

Some Killer and perk ideas I had.

First Killer: The Maw

Appearance:
A chest for a head, like the ones that spawn in the trials. Along the lid and rim of the bottom are tons of sharp teeth, which are retractable. The Maw's body is long, thin, similar to that of a humans, the skin has the texture of rotting wood and there is grass growing on it's upper back and back of the neck. His hands and feet have a dark stony texture. The Maw has difficulty walking on two legs and he uses his arms for support.

Power: "Harmless" Disguise
The Maw is a killer who relies on trickery, and so he disguises himself as a chest. When you press L-Ctrl you bury your body into the ground and retract your teeth, giving the appearance of an ordinary, harmless chest. While disguised, if you hold down m2, you pounce forward very fast, losing your disguise and if a survivor was in front of you, you injure/down them. If a survivor searches you, and they search you for the entire duration (search duration is the same as regular chests, perks that affect the search speed also affect the search speed on you) you bite them automatically and put them into a dying state. To exit the disguise hit L-Ctrl at anytime. When you are not disguised you can hold down m2 to pounce forward and hit a survivor if they are in front of you.

Weapon: Toothy Jaws
The Maw's weapon of choice are his teeth and his jaws. You bite and snap to attack your victims. From a survivors perspective it looks like you are biting them, from a killer perspective, you see barely see your upper jaw/lid bouncing around slightly at the top of your screen, it's placed in a way so it doesn't obscure any of your vision, when you attack, the lid moves a little down and a bit forward hard.

Mori:
The Maw picks up the survivor with his mouth and he swings head around like a dog with a chew toy, The Maw then throws the survivor when done.

The Maw Notes:
The weapon might be a bit too odd, another idea I had for the weapon is a long thick tongue with nails or spikes embedded in it, which it would then thrash around and lash at survivors with. I feel like a smaller terror radius and slightly slower speed would be appropriate for the maw. As for customize things I feel like it would be hard to design things for it as it relies on it's appearance for it's disguise, but I imagine the stuff that you could customize would be the teeth/tongue, body, fuzzy grass-hair-stuff, and hands/feet. I have no idea what the addons would affect.

Second Killer: The Nest

Appearance: The Nest has a sort of feminine human shape, and aside from fingers and toes, she shares nothing else with a normal human appearance. Her body is basically a big yellow jacket nest, so her skin has the texture of it. Along her left arm and down her back are various entry ways into the nest, where yellow jackets enter and leave as they please. On her face the nest is split open to reveal the combs and inside of the nest. On the back of her head and the lower the right arm there is left over paper that is shredded, giving the appearance of hair. Her right hand is missing and is replaced with 7, large, thick stingers.

Power: The Swarm
The Nest is not only a home for the hive, but she is also their queen, you control them. You start with 4 swarms, which is also capped at 4, every time you use a swarm, a new one starts to regenerate, it takes 50 seconds to regenerate a new swarm. By holding down m2 you send a swarm to a target, they can be sent to generators, windows, pallets, and survivors.

  • Generators: Yellow jackets can get into a variety of things, and make working harder. The swarm will slow down repair speed and make skill checks harder. Generators are affected for 40 seconds
  • Windows: A Swarm of anything with a stinger is not safe to be around, let alone crawl through. When you send a swarm to a window, any survivor that vaults through it will always result in sending you a notification, along with a slower vault speed. Windows are affected for 20 seconds
  • Pallets: The Swarm weakens the pallet, making it unstable. When a survivor attempts to move over it, they vault slower and you break the pallet 5% faster. Pallets are affected until broken
  • Survivor: Being stung isn't fun, let alone being stung by over a hundred insects. When a survivor affected by the swarm interacts with anything else affected by the swarm, they lose one health state. Survivors are affected for 20 seconds
While a survivor is in a VERY small radius of The Nest, every few seconds they have a chance to scream (there's no notification and calm spirit will prevent the screaming). Generators, windows, and pallets affected with a swarm have their aura outlined in white for as long as the swarm effects it. 5 second cool down between each swarm sent

Weapon: Cluster of Stingers
The Nests weapon is a group of stingers located where the right hand should be, when attacking the nest tries to stab them with it.

Mori:
The Nest uses her foot to hold down the survivor, she then sends a large swarm of yellow jackets to sting them to death.

The Nest Notes: She seems a little overpowered to me, buut i'm not quite sure how to balance her. She would have a fairly large terror radius and her movement speed would be average or slightly slower. Her addons would affect duration, strength of effects, and what they do in her power, and how many swarms she has at max.The customize things would be her body, head, floofy shredded hair stuff, her sting-hand, and maybe even what insect she uses.

Perks

Survivor Perks:
Bad Communicator: You aren't great at explaining things and tend to interpret instructions differently. When repairing a generator or healing someone else alone, your speed is increased by 3%/5%/7% but if someone else is repairing or healing with you your speed is decreased by 18%/15%/12% and skill checks are harder.

Delayed finish: You're skilled at setting things up in a way to help you. When a generator or something you are sabotaging is completed, the notification to the killer and other survivors is delayed by 1/1.5/2 seconds.

Easily startled: Whenever someone is hooked, and you are over 30 meters away, your movement speed is increased by 10%/12%/14% for 10 seconds. This has a cool down of 60 seconds

Tight hold: Lots of blood can be messy and slippery, you hold your wounds tight enough to lower the amount of blood getting everywhere. The frequency of bleeding is decreased by 10%/15%/20%

Killer Perks:
Reputation: You try to keep your appearance up at all times so others will always fear, or respect, you. Every time you are stunned, the duration of the stun decreased by a stackable 1%/2%/3% for a maximum decrease of 3%/6%/9% shorter stun.

Observation: You pick up on certain things well. All notifications last 10%/15%/20% longer.

A Beast's Hunger: When you cause a survivor to bleed, Bloodlust happens 5%/7%/9% sooner and each tier's speed is increased by 2%/4%/6%

Strange Excitement: You get excited at the though of attacking helpless prey. When a survivor fails a skill check, gain a token, up to 4. Each token allows you to vault 1%/1.5%/2% faster, for a maximum of 4%/6%/8% faster.

Hex: Weak Structure: A hex rooting it's power on hope. The thought of being stopped fills you with rage, when a survivor drops a pallet onto while in chase, you will avoid the stun, this has a cool down of 45 seconds and you have a 30%/35%/45% shorter stun duration while the hex totem is active.

Protective Predator: You become obsessed with one survivor. The thought of losing your catch upsets you. When you hook your obsession, all other survivors within a 32 meter range are afflicted with the exposed status effect for 10/12/14 seconds. this has a cool down of 60 seconds.

Powerful Scent: You have a strong sense of smell. If a bleeding survivor is on the edge of your terror radius for at least 4 seconds, you will have their aura revealed to you for 1/2/3.5 seconds. cool down of 20 seconds

Unclean weapon: You don't clean your weapon of choice well or at all, as you see no point in it. Attacks with your primary weapon have a 10%/15%/20% chance to afflict a survivor with a random status effect for 15 seconds Possible status effects: mangled, exhaustion, blindness, hemorrhage, hindered.

Perk I can't think of a name for: When you use your power, your terror radius will decrease by 10%/13%/15% for 10 seconds. 35 second cool down

And that's all the Ideas and stuff I have for now... I'll probably update this later if I think of more. Some values are probably way to overpowered or under powered. Feel free and please share your thoughts on this. ^^ (there's probably a lot of typos or grammar errors in this ._,)

These perk ideas are not that great. Perks with a chance that leave stuff up to RNG are not good. Make them not chance based and they will be better

The swarm should injure you ( or knock you down 1 health state) if you vault anything that has the swarm around it, instead of adding afflictions.
