Do you think gens get done way too quickly ?
i feel in green ranks and higher the gens get done way too quickly even with ruin they still manage to get gens done before you can get your first hook, I don’t know if it just me getting matched with SWF every game but I can’t even play killer anymore due to being genrushed every game I usually run pop and ruin but doesn’t seem to help out when you get looped around god windows and loops.

Nope. Try applying pressure.
15 -
Yes without ruin. The people who say “apply more pressure” obviously are survivor mains
28 -
Sometimes, it depends on how fast i can start injuring people and the size of the map.
0 -
Yes, generators go too fast. Anyone who says otherwise has no clue what balance is, and is a troll. "Try applying pressure" is a good cop out, sure, but it's not a matter of simply "applying pressure".
And you shouldn't need a perk to counter it.
16 -
Gen times are fine. Lots of bias on this thread.
9 -
No, I think the problem is most killers are too weak and either waste too much time in chase, or lack map pressure, this is worsened by big maps and gens that spawn in bad spots like second floors in haddonfield.
10 -
Depends on my teammates. If they deleted Urban Evasion, Self Care and Spine Chill I would say yes.
I want to break down and cry when I'm facing a Legion with Thana and Sloppy and my teammates are off in Timbuktu self-healing for what seems like the extended LOTR trilogy worth of time. Throw in Ruin or Discordance and we'll be lucky if we get 1 done.

Exactly this.
0 -
Killer can apply pressure only to 1 survivor at a time.
3 -
Irrelevant.
0 -
Downed, hooked, and dead survivors can't do objectives and are therefore under pressure.
7 -
Survivor main here, boys. This guy has never made it past rank 15 killer.
6 -
Thanks for making assumptions.
7 -
80 seconds by default.
Decreased by toolboxes.
Decreased by great skillchecks.
Decreased by perks.
Greatly decreased by another survivor helping you.
Just saying, half the team can complete all generators in 3.5 Minutes. Half the team.

tbf, they dont get done that fast usually, though all a team really needs is one guy dedicating the round to gens only and the others can play as they want, do gens from time to time, keep the killer busy, etc. and still get the exits to activate.
3 -
do you mean - slugging? Sometimes it work.. sometimes.
0 -
Easy assumption to make based on your ignorance of the killer side.
1 -
I know gens are fast but they are as slow as possible. Gen speeds are not the problem.
1 -
No, but I do believe that maps need to be reworked without making them useless.
0 -
They are not as slow as possible. If they were as slow as possible, ruin and corrupt intervention wouldn't exist.
Gens combined with the lack of real ability certain killers have to apply pressure is the issue. Freddy was formerly the worst in that regard, now he's one of the best. They need to rework killers and do something to remedy gen speeds, or something to remedy/eliminate safe loops.
1 -
Gen speeds are as slow as possible.

I'm still at rank 13 as a killer and the higher up I go in rank, the faster the gens pop. It's very aggravating to set 3 traps with trapper, chase one survivor, and have 3 gens pop. The survivors get mad when I stay near the hook. Sorry, what am I supposed to do?
Should I just go around the map, place trap, while Claudette shadows me and disarms them?
Should I chase t-bagging bald Dwight, who obviously has all pallet locations memorized?
Or should I trap the crap out of the hook and stay near, and monitor the near by gens?

That's when I know you have no actual retort. When you needlessly repeat. Easy win.
Run along now.
2 -
Are you going to try to prove me wrong? There are enough campers as is, no need to make them stronger.
2 -
I don't have to. You did so when you copped out of the debate.
Thanks, bud! :)
2 -
Okay so you can't prove me wrong. I didn't expect any better from a biased forums user.
3 -
You're the one who made the original claim. The burden of proof is on you. Not the other way around. So, prove me wrong, bud. :)
yawn
0 -
Prove what wrong?
2 -
Go record some games bud. Apply pressure, without ruin. If you think it's so easy, g'head, bro. You made the claim. "Try applying pressure". So, go try to apply some pressure. But first, get to red ranks. Get that rank 1 achievement. If you don't want to walk the talk, calmly exit from the argument. kthx :)
1 -
Ok be back soon I guess
0 -
Don't forget to be at red ranks.
0 -
Well be back in a week.
0 -
never really seen a problem with them the problem is the sizes of maps with the way some killers powers are or the speed of the killer you literally can't do anything
2 -
+1

You know that doesn't work. Gens go by far too quickly. Unfortunately, gens are also extremely boring.
There needs to be an fun and engaging second objective. It will add time to the game and take the tediousness out of Survivor.
0 -
I am a survivor main but I play killer at high ranks as well. Today I was taking screen shots of how many gens were left after I hooked the last survivor, to show my friend "how I was getting gen rushed by red rank survivors without ruin".
In these images my games were against red rank survivors.
EDIT: I have more as most of my games ended with four gens left, but I'm too lazy to edit out the survivor names.
6 -
Gens do go too fast, but not because of their speeds. They go by fast because toolboxes are op and maps are broken. Not to mention how useless some killers' powers can be on certain maps and even just in general.

Since I explained this in a different thread, I'm just going to re-post my opinion here about generators: There's TL;DR in my comment, so it's a quick read! 🤗😁
0 -
I learned nothing from reading this. At least dbd players understand what you're saying.
0 -
ye, I said slugging sometimes work.. sometimes. Survivors can unhook each other before I down a new survivor. Downing survivors can take forever.
0 -
Do we have any verification of them being "red rank survivors" other than you simply saying so? No offense, but it's really easy to say it and conveniently have screenshots of everything but the key detail.
1 -
True, toolboxes are broken. Maps are definitely not in a Killer's favor either. But ultimately, we cannot expect BHVR to take this route, its too long and tedious.
0 -
Yes
0 -
The route they choose is...crutch perks! Hooray, another problem solved.
0 -
Unfortunately, the alternative is a nearly total redesign.
1 -
People could do that with the old Freddy aswell but he was the worst killer that dosnt mean anything
0 -
Assuming no items are involved? No, it's fine, just good survivors can sometimes get a lot of work done quick.
Game just needs something to make matches more fun for both sides, and less....curb stompy.
0 -
Not against good survivors
0 -
This is true, the only thing you can do is change your perk setup to something like tremors, ruin/corrupt and PGTW if you see multiple toolboxes in lobby.
Sadly, there are some survivors that swap to toolboxes at last second so you can't counter them.
0 -
I understand, I went very in-depth when I made that comment. 🤗😁
