Survivors and Killers
Hey everyone! I wanted to get a friendly discussion going about the game and see where some.of tee he communities heads are from both sides.
So i like DbD for what it is. It's something me and my husband have been playing for some time and well... I think the community is somewhat making it hard to enjoy the game now. It wasn't as bad as before or maybe it was and I haven't noticed until now.
I hear people complain about ruin and camping and stuff as well as looping and gen speeds, keys, survivor perks, and a whole lot of stuff. Now before we continue I am a survivor main so I'm sorry if this sounds a little biased or anything.
The of the game is to not be competitive. It's to have fun. DbD is an Asymmetrical horror game. People are out here running the meta and stuff and I can barely run self care because I have other perks I like using. I run small game for example and it keeps me in the game longer than I would have been without it.
Running small game makes the end game fun when people have noed because then I become the hero or when people have ruin and I cant power through it, or even devour hope, small game is one perk your defi6gonna see me have because well I cant memorize totem spawns and I'm not a toxic professional player.
I still run Dance with me with or without Quick and Quiet just because it's fun. They KNOW I vaulted a window but where did I go?
I run the perks that make the game fun for me which in turn makes but easier to play for me. I dont care about gen speeds or killers being OP or even looping because im and at those things. I'm very predictable when playing this game so I'm easy to catch unless I have my husband coaching meningitis my ear. Even then hes toxic in the game and I dont like that so I play potato so he dies too.
I dont know where exactly im going with this but the point is to just have fun. There are lots of times I wanted to voice my opinion like when they changed noed and ruin or stretch Armstrong freddy.... god... stretch Armstrong freddy... but I've dealt with it because well... the game is still fun even though from my crappy survivor side eyes I think killers are op....
I want to hear what makes the game fun from you guys and what makes it frustrating

Rancor and NOED are good. Please, stay away from my totems.

That's how i play, is to have fun. Doesn't matter what perks i use or if perks change. I will adapt.
When NoEd changed, i was annoyed. But after playing a couple of games, it didn't matter. It didn't change my gameplay at all because i cleanse totems anyway during the game. Same with Ruin played a couple of games and just learned to pull through it and try to hit skill checks.
When other survivor perks changed I just dealt with it and learned how to play with it. Same with going against killers and playing as some of them. I learn to adapt.

I'm with you 100%. I win some and lose some.
What makes the game fun for me is helping other survivors, surviving a chase with a terrifying maniac and getting my heart racing! And I also love running Small Game. It's addictive.
BTW hit me up if you're on xbox. You sound like the person I want to play with!

Funnest Build (IMO):
Autodidact and Aftercare / Iron Will, Lucky Break, and Dance With Me. Some of the funnest combos you can have in this game.
As for killer, Surge + Surveillance can be fun with the right setup. 5 totem builds are also fun as hell.

As much as I would love to share your view, I cannot. Do not misunderstand me though, you are for sure WAYYYYY better for the community than I am. We need more wholesome players like yourself.
I play to win, that's how I get enjoyement out of a game. It is a sad but true reality of my hyper-competitive nature.
