Why so many bad players?
I play both survivor and killer about equally. Rank 1 on both. Over the past couple years there has been one thing that does not change. The majority of rank 1 through 20 survivors are not very good at this game. It keeps leading to killer changes/nerfs and just allow the minority of skilled players to be even more affective and almost unkillable.
Does nobody else think it is an issue that will never allow this game to be balanced when you have rank 1 players who can't run a loop, and rank 1 players who never mess up a loop and get caught? Is this really impossible to fix?

This game attracts stupid people, so the game is balanced around people who are stupid.

Pipping is too easy for survivors so it artificially ranks them up to where they shouldn't be.
But yeah, a lot of survivors are just really bad which artificially makes killers look stronger than they are. Then they balance for these bad survivors as you mentioned, which leads to a very unbalanced game at higher ranks when you get survivors that are actually good.
As per your question, they don't improve at the game because instead of striving to reach the bar, the devs lower the bar to them so there's no reason to get better. Why learn to catch a fish when you'll just keep getting one handed to you.

It's true. I'm oblivious against trapper and get killed nearly every match against him, but that's no reason for me to cry for nerfs.
Many bad players are in red ranks rn, because of the new rank reset. Bubba nerfs incoming.

Yep, it just sucks that basically every match is dictated by the survivors you get. Regular run of the mill survivors and you can have a good game with just about any killer. Actual good survivors in your lobby and you better be skilled at nurse or be prepared to be pooped on lol.

Ranking up is based on the general skill of the player base and nothing to do with a defined threshold. In theory, a group of new rank 20s can reach rank 1 while playing like rank 20s. It's only when they are paired with a killer with greater skill do they not rank up. This why rank doesn't mean that much unless towards the extreme ends of the scale.
