Does anyone else feel this way?

After completing all archives challenges and getting to rift tier 70, I feel like.. I have no more purpose to play DBD.

Before challenges, it was fun to try different builds and goof around, or challenge myself to do whatever as killer, but now that i've completed all the challenges and can't get higher in the rift, I feel like I have nothing to do. A lot of people are still working through the challenges so it gets annoying that others are going for certain things instead of playing normally. It's like i'm the only person who wants to have a normal game.

The fact that the game has no endgame contributes to this feeling of having no purpose. Its one of the reasons why I stopped playing fortnite (also because i don't like fps) and WoW. I like games that tell a complete story with a beginning, middle and end.

Right now, I am addicted to this game due to the fact I want to level up all of my unlocked characters, but once that is over with, I don't see myself playing as much as I do now. I'll probably cut it down to one or two days a week.

I do actually feel worn out. I normally like doing challenges but after doing all the ones from this tome it's burned me out.

I am pretty burnt out. I finished the Rift in Tome 3 and really didn't have much drive to do much in Tome 4. Do we even get a cool 15 second video for beating it? Whatever. I got myself something else to play until the end of January, when I suppose the next Archive will come out.

Same lol, I bought Cities: Skylines the other day and I can't stay away from it. It's my new addiction until next Archive.

I kinda agree, especially since you don't get any benefits after maxing out the rift. It would be nice if you got some extra bloodpoints or something for playing beyond tier 70.

Big fan of that game. I've spent hours upon hours on it.

I had really been hoping that the Tome would bring something new and interesting to the game, but the challenges often aren't fun and the Rift requires extra grind on top of that which all just leads to huge burnout. Add the lack of current and future events and this becomes one of the least rewarding games I've ever played.

I finished the Rift a while back. I just returned home from traveling and played DbD for the first time in about three weeks, did the row of killer challenges in Tome Level 4 to unlock the charm, and as soon as I did that I turned the game off because I'd much rather play something with a winter event going on. Red Dead Online has some cool snow right now. Dying Light has viral zombies in elf clothes running around.

If DbD would bother to offer something different and fun rather than just new ways to increase the grind, maybe I would've actually missed playing it while I was away for three weeks. As is, I didn't miss it while I was away, and even a three week break didn't suddenly make the game fun again when I turned it on today.

Here here, my friend. They keep saying they are not focusing on events and instead working on better gameplay, QoL BS, etc, but I am not feeling that. I've always felt that this game blew up too fast for a company of their size, thus they are having trouble coping with the number of players and how to balance that all out, and then they hit a crazy niche cashpot with their horror theme and the sheer amount of cosmetics they pump out. People keep paying. Everytime they suck in one new player they milk them for a nice snag of cash, and fixing gameplay problems doesn't mean a thing anymore.

When people keep smoking the crack your selling faster then you can reup, you don't care, you just deal more.
