Hawkins is by far my favorite map as survivor.
This map is actually a really nice map to loop on imo, there are some really nice pallets on the map and the windows are also nice, it’s actually a bit survivor sided imo.
I have no problem playing on this map as killer though so it is definitely more balanced than other maps. What’s y’alls opinion on this map?

It's icky and every time I get it I question why I was born on this earth.
Replace DC penalties not letting you play to only letting you play on Hawkins. Much more painful.

Yes there are a couple nice pallets. Then there are unusable pallets spewed everywhere. Where is a good window? You mean portal room? Yeah it's nice but the pallet that complements it is garbage. I hate playing on it because the killer is always a hop and a skip away and I will get hit if I go to one of the maps countless unsafe pallets. Not to mention how people 3 gen themselves because they don't yet realize the need to save upstairs and portal gen for last.

Overall, the killer starts out slightly weaker than in other maps but quickly gets stronger as important pallets and gens go away. Although it is a good model for maps in dbd, it's not how most maps currently work and still needs a lot of geting used to.

Considering it is the least survived map for survivors I wouldn't say it is survivor-sided. The one perk that made really good loops was nerfed so there is that. It has more dead ends than Gideon's and more cut off points than Lery's. Almost all pallets are subject to bloodlust, and a killer lunge can reach you around most short pallet loops. Upstairs is a deathtrap and quite laughable. And what 'windows' are you talking about? I can think of one that you can't even loop more than once without an exhaustion perk like lithe. Also good luck if you encounter clown on that map. It's as miserable as doc on Gideons. The map looks cool but that's about it. You must be a looping God if you enjoy that deathtrap.

This map is total garbage. Too bright. No places to hide, too much ######### in the way... dead ends. Dull. Probably one of the worst maps.

It has a lot of hiding spots

I don't think there are very many. I'm not talking lockers either.

I’ve found plenty of places to hide, lots of barrels and corners with LOS blockers.

My biggest complaint about this map is all the random noises .

My brothers get angry at me for staying in a certain room because their ears are more sensitive.

its too noisy, and its not possible when killer is human being skilled
or maybe possible only your region?

It's completely balanced, which is why so many are having a hard time adjusting to it. You don't have the complete safety of jungle gyms or loops like cow tree or god bus on Hawkins. I haven't had much trouble extending chases as a survivor. You need to bait the killer in making false steps to give yourself time to make distance. It's one of the few maps with an abundance of tiles that require the survivor to lead the dance without an inherent upper hand at the tile. You probably won't run the killer for 3 gens like you can on other maps. You'll need 4 teammates that are competent in a chase and you won't get out if you have two teammates that have never seen a pallet. That's the different between Coldwind and Hawkins and that's what I love about Hawkins.

When did the fun bus go to Hawkins? 🤔

I don't see the appeal. I've had a tough time with it as survivor and killer. Mostly survivor I guess

Good killers check simple LOS blockers like that. How will you stay hidden then?

He said hawkins doesn't have it

As killer I haven't lost there in a while.

I found it to be a super boring map like the newest yamaoka disappointed with both of them

I think it is my favorite inside map. It does have a lot of places to loose the killer, sometimes. It is pretty good at hiding totems. It sucks with vaulting windows so my second favorite exhaustion perks doesn't work here, but my 1st favorite, Head-on, flourishes here. I get lost still because i don't get this map often.

Waste tons of time checking every single corner? That just asking for good survivors to get those gens going.
I’m slightly tired rn so I’m not reading everything correctly lol
I got a 4-man escape on it recently.

There aren't that many in Hawkins. If they see your scratch marks around they aren't gonna try to let you go.

Who says I ran to the hiding spot? I’ve actually found quite a few good spots to hide.

Hmm we must be remembering different Hawkins. Good for you you learned your way around.
