This probably the first time I have been able to participate in a blood hunt for a full day. I had the day off for once and got lucky.

With all that is screwed up in this game, long wait times for red rank survivors, impossible to find a game for yellow and brown rank killers, you're upset they didn't do the bloodhunt when it best suited you?

I did and it has me honestly questioning if the devs are actively trying to ruin the game. I can't make sense of what they are trying to do and I can't find where they have explained it.

I think they thought one thing and did another, but realizing it hasn't panned out they might be working on something. Matchmaking and Sound always get broken though. Then again this actually could hurt the game. A Blood Hunt with a faulty system could push new players away.

The Devs are not actively trying to ruin the game. They’re listening to the community’s ideas, implementing them, and they are backfiring in a way the communIty is not considering.
I remember watching old Monto videos and he was complaining that Red Ranks should NEVER play against yellows (matchmaking complaining). He even says he’d be willing to wait a bit longer. They adjust matchmaking and queue times increased. Then there’s a video of him complaining about queue times.
My advise is for the developers to be more dictator with matchmaking then democracy because this keeps backfiring. The first way was better. Which is OhToFu’s point.

I hope you are right and they will do the correct thing to fix it. I also hope they realize how dumb the new rank reset is and fix it before it becomes a problem.

I stopped after he blamed mixed rank SWF queing based on highest rank being the cause.
There's more reasons to why the lower ranks are so thin.
It's harder to depip. When leaving a match you used to lose 2 pips and now you only lose 1. Players did this to get away from the upper ranks for mainly two reasons. For quicker queue times or to have easier matches. SWF with lower rank friends was done for the very same reason. Now lower rank queues are longer and depiping takes longer making it not worth it.
The rank reset was changed, twice. At rank 1 you would go back to rank 15+1 and it scaled down from there. The lower ranks would become saturated giving better queue times for anyone playing there. If you ranked up too fast, then you would be playing lobby sim. This was changed to rank 1s going to rank 10 and deranking past 16 became impossible. Now ranks only go down one color rank. This concentrates the player base towards the upper ranks. Not lower like before.
Player population at lower ranks is thinning. The game isn't attracting enough new players to fill the queues.
That's the reason why low rank queues take so long. It's just the opposite of what it was like for high rank queues before. The player numbers are simply not there to support every rank in the current system.
