Having a terrible time solo against forever freddy
Nobody does gens, nobody goes for hook saves, everybody kills themselves on hook. What do I do?

That is besides the point 9/10 matches are as I've stated how do I survive?

Run a selfish hatch build if you want to escape. Keep doing gens and saving teammates if you want to pip.

Loop him for ages if he chases you and hope your teammates do gens and are good sports. It's not a Forever Freddy problem, it's a survivor problem. I definitely get the frustration. I led him on a 2 minute chase the other day with 3 teammates still alive. Not a single gen popped, and then when I finally got hooked, all 3 crouch walked from across the map even though I had Kindred. Red ranks btw. There's not much you can do sometimes. A lot of frustration gets directed at the mechanics of killers when the real issue is that many players are just really, really bad at the game. Not saying OP is bad. I'm saying we've all had games where teammates just don't do anything.

Basically this. This applies to any killer when you solo and you expect your teammates to be potatoes (which I expect every game as I play survivor solo)

Your teammates are just expressing to the Devs that they should nerf Freddy more. Devs will make slight tweaks to make him more fun to

Solo survivor is generally a bad experience overall. I play both sides equally and honestly, people can ######### and moan about how hard it is to play killer all they want, I'd rather be any killer than solo survivor at red ranks (or at any rank).
As killer all you have to blame for your shortcomings is yourself and the game. Solo survivor has the added bonus of relying on three complete strangers in a game where rank doesn't mean much, so your chances of going against a good killer with three potatoes as teammates are pretty high.
I think that's why there are so many immersed players at red ranks. I personally get bored to death if I play like that, but it's probably better to just not get found and let everyone else die if you just care about escaping, rather than running the killer around for ages with no guarantee whatsoever that they'll do gens or even save you afterwards.
Anyway, not implementing basekit Kindred was a mistake.

Forever Freddy is gone. calm down, and try again. Sounds like your teammates were the issue, not Mr krueger.

Freddy never even relied on his Forever build to be good tbh. He's pretty much Clown in chases but with an added bonus of the lullaby (which is confusing compared to the terror radius) and map pressure. He's a solid, strong killer. There's definitely counterplay to him, but it requires multiple survivors playing decently, which can be rare sometimes. But it be like that in team games, sometimes you just get matched with potatoes.
