Camping cannibal...
Is there any combat to this? Its already impossible to outrun his wild swing radius, but when he camps you just lose a survivor. I know the "just work on gens" tactic, but rather than just making the game miserable for 1 person at a time, is there actually anything I can do to beat that?

No. He is going to get that kill. You could try a very risky juke into BT save, but he will likely get that person again, and probably you too.
His swings are fairly easy to juke and dodge, wouldn't recommend it around a hook though.
Doing gens is really your best bet.

Only thing I can suggest is run Kindred. At least that way, barring Insidious, you (or your team if you're the one hooked) can know he's camping and punish him for it by doing gens in the meantime.
It won't stop the camping but you can take some satisfaction in knowing that you're messing up his plan at least a little.

There’s an unspoken rule that all bubbas camp and then tunnel off hook. Usually you only see this with killers rank 16-20, but the bubba mains keep at it into red ranks. I don’t know what it is, but it never fails.

This was definitely at red ranks. But I guess I'll just continue to hate every tine I hear a chainsaw for the first time in a match. Thanks for the input

Yeah I dunno what it is but that particular killer draws campers like flies to a turd in July. I just actually saw a p3 bubba at rank 5. Got his first down and camped until person died. Bubba ended match with 8,000 points and no pip.
