Matchmaking is funny

I recently started playing killer and have been fluctuating between rank 16 and 17. At first I was only looking at my scores (postmatch) and not really focusing on the survivors scores or ranks, until, after a particularly bad match for me, one of the survivors pointed out the matchmaking. I was rank 18 and all of them were purple ranked. Now I pay more attention after the match. It seems that in every match there are 1 or more purples and occasionally some reds. Today I had a game with all red rank survivors.

Is this a normal thing, or is it just due to the event? It's frustrating during the match, but seeing their rank after the game takes some of the sting out of the loss. Who knows, maybe it will make me a better player in the long run. :D

    Matchmaking is supposedly broken, I think it's a lack of killers. It will make you better over time..
