A 1% buff will make botany knowledge a GREAT perk
I always think that botany knowledge is a really handy perk, it works for healing others and med-kit self heal, and this perk alone can basically cancel out sloppy+thana at once if the killer has it.
But I think there is a little problem with the efficiency part, I'm not sure if the devs know it.
Med-kits in the game basically use 8 charges as one unit, the kits have 16, 24, 32 charges as default, the add-ons are mostly -8, +8, +16 charges, except only a yellow one with +12.
Healing one health state takes 16 charges, so here is the problem:
u use botany with a 16+8 charges kit, or just a yellow 24 charges kit, it doesn't actually give u 32 charges, it gives u 31.92 charges because the perk gives exactly 33% more, not 1/3 more, so u actually 99% your second heal but cannot finish it. But if I bring another +8 charges add on, I have 32 already, then I don't need the perk to heal 2 states.
I think it's safe to assume that when the devs gave the perk 33% efficiency, they were thinking 1/3, but the tiny 0.3333% actually makes a huge different, if they made it even just 34%, u could heal 2 states and bring the med-kit out if u survive. I know 34% is kinda strange, maybe make it 12/24/36% across 3 levels.
Again, I don't think it's intended to work like this, I think they meant 1/3, but just made it 33% and didn't realize the big difference, I hope the devs make some tiny adjustment, then this perk would be so nice to use.

This is well thought out and I'm impressed that you've made a case for something that I thought I'd disagree with after reading the title.

I'm not sure if it's working how it's intended or not though. They very well could mean for you to not finish the heal just to make you lose the medkit. They may even know this and not change it because with self heal or another survivor you finish it instantly anyway.
I'm for the change, but I don't think its one that's just a blind they screwed up.

Nice thought. Botany knowledge is one of my favorite healing perks, and I believe is a mid tier perk. I agree with you. They could add something more too like; increase the time of healing other by 5/10/15 %
