Toxicity
The real issue with Toxic Behavior in Dead by Daylight and the reason it's still at bay is mainly because people who seem to play this game are not horror fanatics as much as the "Die Hard Horror Community". Friday the 13th the Game has the same issue when it comes to this toxic behavior and it's sad to see people who play GTA Online and COD Multiplayer and other toxic games come in here thinking they can trash talk others and get them banned when those die hard fans want to try to enjoy playing Killers.
Another issue is the fact that the Killers that do not have any form of Stalk ability like Ghost Face, Myers, and Wraith restricting players to counter toxic behavior from players playing Survivors. So people who go into this game trying make a horror game experience and not a multiplayer game experience is outnumbered by the following issues that allows survivor players to do these very things such as
- Flashlight
- Teabag and pallet loop
- teabag at the exits
- Easily escape with the key and hatch
- Decisive Strike
- Waste valuable time by running him or her through the whole map
And on another note, because these toxic players don't get banned by the Dev team however you can either get banned by the players through means of Steam, PSN and X-Box Live for months if you find a counter action to beat them in their mind games such as Myers Stalk or Ghost Face's stalk abilities. You get screwed either way, because the Dev Team does not encourage smart strategic game play by killers by giving them less points for not hooking them as much or chasing them as much as they would.
For example, I play Ghost Face mostly in the game. And he's not only powerful as hell and for some reason completely doesn't care about the Flashlight, believe me.
Players who try to flashlight me when I'm hooking someone they get mad and they both disconnect the game when I still hook them. It's hilarious.
That makes them mad and they give you less points by DC from the game. However you play a killer who isn't completely OP such as Myers, Freddy or other Killers no matter how optimally the player playing the killer plays. They enjoy it more because they are toxic players who don't respect the game and it's mechanics it gives to the killers.
Many issues stems from toxic survivors that I've heard is complaints from them towards killers is against those who try to play smart and optimally with that Killer's main powers regardless it's Freddy with teleportation, Ghost Face/Myers/Wraith with invisibility or stealth/stalk, or Amanda/Jigsaw 2.0 with traps. They come up with some half ass complaint that using the Killer's ability to their player's advantage of that specific Killer is "CHEATING" to them, because they believe they should be able to not only use in game glitches the game may not have patched with each Patch or DLC yet and that is fair to them or should be able to use in game mechanics that is given to Survivors to the usage of being abused is okay because "it's funny to watch a killer player DC out of rage or frustration just so they can get extra points" hence Survivors being complete hypocrites against killers thinking they should always win and get the "Last Laugh" on players who prefer Killers only especially when this game is supposed to be scary from the Survivor's POV when trying to go against Killers.
And how I believe this would be balanced in game is, the developers honestly need to nerf a lot of abilities given to survivors in game. Also, they need to rework in-game mechanics and maps. However because this could possibly break the game from what the dev team intended to make it balanced for survivors even though what they have in the game is completely broken in many or some ways that gives survivors more power to control the match instead of the killers like "it should be" being a "horror game" that asymmetrical, Doing what Killer's ask of them would mean they would have to stop development of the DLCs and turn off the game's Servers and go in and just rework every single thing to give the Killer's POV exactly what they actually want. And that would take months to years.
Which is a balance not a "full 180" mind you.

Usually if I'm teabagging, it's just to have a laugh with the killer. I do the same to survivors on Ghostface. It's not meant to be a personal attack on their skill level or character as a human being. However, people with fragile egos tend to take these things the wrong way.
Tldr: Lighten up folks, if this game was a meal, it'd be canned by Gordon Ramsay for having too much damn salt.

It's just a game. Y'all wouldn't have survived back in the old modern warfare days. Literally had kids screaming and calling me the C or N words, among other obscenities often directed at my mother. T-bagging ain't so bad, trust me.

What I have learned from Xbox Live is that my mother has slept with many people.

Teabagging is a mindgame in it self. Killers generally get annoyed when a survivor clicks their flashlight or teabags them which makes them devote all their time into chasing that survivor, that also gives the other survivors time to get gens done and in the end eventually escape.

if you think this game is toxic you didnt played any competitive or semi competitive game in ranked mode xd
if you cant beat "toxic" players its your fault xd they being toxic dont give them any upside xd they are hindering themselves,
1) flashlight? in what way its toxic? clicking? soo telling killer your position is toxic, if you dont like Flashlights right now oh boy you wouldnt want to be here about 2 years ago where instablinds were a thing or 1,5year when pick up animation took more time (so surv had more time to fl save you), if youre getting blinded on pallet you know what?? USE EARS, and again if someone is blinding you at pallet he is not running away by that time so if you use ears to hear footsteps you get him in like 2-3 seconds
2) Teabagging so youre telling me surv that is slowing himself (not running away) is bad? Looping? at this point if you dont loop you CANT survive (unless your team is smashing gens like monkeys)
3) Teabag at exit? many times i downed that surv and hooked him because he Teabagged too far from exit
4) Keys may be problem (but same goes with Moris), Hatch outside a key is fine (you dont have to 4k every game) + you can close hatch btw
5) just dont tunnel or count to 60 or have in mind who have you hooked recently xd
6) yea this is how this game works you have to know when to drop chase and chase someone else
if you expect ppl to be afraid of killer after 200h of playing well youre in bad place for that
this game isnt horror in way you would like it to be, here survs arent just bots that never learn because if they dont run away from killer what should they do??
well killers have their "toxicity" too, why am i using ""? because for me there is no toxic things ingame (except bug exploiters, but that wasnt meant by game) but post game chat may be toxic AF

If you want to play an RPG, maybe try something else. This game was not designed to be played the way you're describing.
You don't have to be a "True horror fan" to enjoy and have the right to play the game as you choose.

What a load of nonsense.

I'm pretty sure toxicity exists because some people are huge jerks, not because they're not big enough horror fans.

It's a horror-themed multiplayer game that's more of an action game with a few scares thrown in here and there, not a traditional horror game. There's a difference.

While I'm the same way, there are definitely plenty of survivors that do mean it as some kind of an attack in this community tbh.

Here's my thing, I'm sure some people aren't trying to be toxic by t-bagging. I don't exactly appreciate someone doing a t-bag when I didn't tunnel or anything. T-bagging just because you got a close pallet stun means I will go Liam neeson on you. Flash lights, I don't find to be toxic unless they're all ganging up to get flashlights on you. DS I will only find toxic if someone goes in a locker just to get you to open it. However, if I'm running DS and I go for an unhook and I know the killer will attempt to grab me. Well, I unhooked someone and basically let them get a hook on me. Worth it? Maybe not. Would do it again? 10/10 of course. But being toxic goes both ways. If a killer is being toxic, then be toxic in return as a survivor.
