Serious opinions and arguments for and against a FNaF Chapter/Paragraph
Yet again, a FNaF Chapter/Paragraph thread, because the others went just into criticising eachother. I just want to hear the opinions and arguments of others clear without fighting and brought to the point.
1.So, why do I think a FNaF Chapter would work/good to have?More players for DbD. Some people get into the game by their favorite movie or in this case game, it wouldn't hurt having more players.
2.FNaF isn't only colorful animatronics like that brown bear, FNaF has a killer, Springtrap, he's the opposite of what you may think of. He's a rotten, withered animatronic with the corps of the killer inside and is still 'alive'. Not really different from Spirit, which died, too, I mean, look how mangled she is and her injuries.
(Here an image of Springtrap from FNaF 3)
3.There is the novel series. It's set in a different universe than the games. Map and survivor wouldn't be a problem. Map could be similiar to thompson house, the childhood home of the main character which was left to rot after an incident. The main character also has enough friends, which are described in the book and have visual references in the graphic novel version of the first novel. They'd also have a chance to design a Springtrap himself since it's not the one we know from the games.
4.If they'd go with the game, they still can make him fit into DbD Paragraph by taking him after or while the fire is happening in FNaF 3, which would wither him even more etc.. No survivor since there's nothing to work with. No map because a pizzaria for kids seems rather silly in DbD, eventually the horror atraction Fazbears fright, but still, it's just a left, rotten pizzaria.
I just want people to be honest and actually think about this instead of saying things like 'Bear robot running around?', 'Would be cringe seing a bear robot in DbD' or similar. But I can understand people who don't want licenses and rather want an original chapter.
And please, just bring good arguments instead of empty statements.

I’m not even familiar with FNaF but I just Googled it.
and...
ehhh. Would much rather not have a childish (even if dead, burned or whatever) chasing me. That’s more laughable than “oh ######### its going to get me” moment.
I would much rather prefer an original chapter/character. One like an Illusionist or something. But, that’s not my choice.

That's what I mean, you don't even care to look more into it.

That’s not the problem at all. I’m just stating my opinion on what I Googled. This is a Horror Survival game. I wouldn’t consider a burned Animatronic Bear scary.
What would you suggest his Ability and Perks be? That’s where I’m mostly curious on this.
Why are you so forthright about this?

I know what you mean, but if you just simply look for fnaf, you'll just find everything but not that what would fit into DbD, like those animatronics or even the books.
It's simple, they type in fnaf and already see Freddy and the gang and say it would't fit.

I'm only for this if we can have 4v4 matches.

If someone has to dive into an entire Universe to understand where you’re coming from, that’s not necessarily enticing.
Yes, you like the character(s) and the idea of having a Chapter in DbD. But... I know I’m not the only one who hasn’t an idea about this Movie? Book? Whatever it is. I Googled and saw nothing but vibrant colors and bears and that’s not what I play this game for.
It’s just not MY taste.

Didn't really want to include ability and perks, but if I had to I would make Springtrap a stealth killer that applies debuffs to survivors, this would fit the game he comes from.
Perks don't really have to fit the killer since most perks aren't really related to the characters, but the perks would probably be there to slow things down.
I just want people to know it's not only about those funny colorful animatronics and would actually have something fitting for DbD instead of just straight up saying no without reasoning.

You’ve got to be better at selling this character then rather than getting upset because a lot of people just don’t have the taste for it.
WHY do you want this character in DbD?
You can’t just be like “Why doesn’t the Community want it?” Your idea, so explain it better to where I don’t have to Google and read an entire Universe of this character. I just don’t see where it fits in the DbD realm.

They should just give us the Banana Splits instead. They had a horror movie last year and they could be like legion where they have four different costumes (the lion, the dog, the elephant, and the gorilla).
Jokes aside there are a lot more well known horror movie characters out there that would draw people in better than a FNAF chapter.

I can explain it, sure but the thing is, you say colorful robot bears aren't you taste.
Springtrap, before killed in the suit, was a man that worked with someone else on animatronics and the pizzarias. Bad things happen, he starts killing children. For fun, even designs animatronics to lure the kids away. In the books, he does the same but also attacks adults, trapping them. He then ends up getting killedd in the suit by mistake. Water and motaion triggered the suit and snapped him inside. He died slowly and came back as Springtrap, doing the same.
He's a killer, we have Freddy, Michael and also Demogorgon which all are super natural are in the game.
There are also people wanting it and it would also attract some new players to join DbD.

In my complete one hundred percent honest opinion (and yes there is a bit of bias) I feel that this can jumpstart the DBD hype again by bringing in the fnaf fans and a killer who could be if done right, one of the most unique licensed killer and survivors in ages. The Demogorgon in my opinion is just hag with lunge and other licensed killers have gone downhill. Myers and Leatherface was good but I don’t even have to mention Freddy Krueger and ghostface was meh. I just think too many killers are similar nowadays, both designwise and playstyle. But if this chapter was a thing, it probably get me to play the game more frequently just because of both how I’m a fan and how unique it would be. It would be a cool thing as well for a map similar to the lab or the hospital to have an indoor map. I’m in agreement with most pro fnaf is that it has to have springtrap as the killer. I’m in total disagreement if the ability is just the pig but which springlock suits. I also think instead of the survivor being one of the book characters, but Michael Afton instead. It would be unique, a survivor as grotesque as the killer he comes out with. And I know people say it’s a kids game but in reality it’s dark and depraved as hell so it would fit right in to DBD. I don’t know what his abilities would be but if done right, it could be the best chapter in DBD in a while.

Taking someone like Michael would be a huge stretch, we don't know how he looks like, really.
As for the ability, he could be a stealth killer that applies debuffs to survivors. Would make sense if we take the Springtrap from the games, since he's pretty much sneaking up to you, while the phantoms give you trouble with the ventilation etc..

It could definitely work, and I don’t agree with the people saying it would take the scare factor out of the game, seeing this chasing you would be pretty scary

Also, I think if there is any chance of getting a gnaf killer we have to wait for the movie to come out

I know it would be but it would also make room to let the devs get some creative freedom and I do like the idea of a stealth killer as well. The Michael idea stemmed from the fact that most of the discussions had book characters as the survivors and since most themed killers have rivals I felt that Michael would be a better fit than Charlie because of, well ya know. And I’m sure that if they do add the FNAF chapter (fingers crossed) they’ll most definitely have to talk with Scott and he could probably give pointers on what someone would look like after Michael’s Ennard escapades. Definitely the thinness and scars mentioned in the book. And a poorly maintained rotting corpse does turn purple in color so they got that going for them. If Michael was the survivor they went with, he’d most definitely be an altruistic survivor like Quentin with perks that might increase flashlight battery in proximity, an obsession perk that when he escapes he gets speed on generators stuff like that. My big question is what the Mori would be. It would the only thing I could think of is putting a springlock mask on the survivor and it goes first person on the survivor, watching springlocks go in their eyes. Would love to know your ideas tho

They would most likely bring in that lil tune that often plays.
Y'know, the one that plays in FNaF 1 when you're out of power and Freddy's eyes are seen in the doorway.
I don't want that happy happy jingle in here.

To me, FNaF just doesn't fit the theme that much. Not that the characters aren't scary or anything, but most killers I see come from iconic horror movies, or are just original and made up by the devs. I can't quite put my finger on it, but to me it gives me a similar feeling to the thought of having a creepypasta like Slenderman or Jeff the Killer join the game. Like it's plausible maybe, but something just doesn't seem right about it. A slasher like Freddy or Leatherface from the movies seems like they just fit the game well.
I can get down with the idea of a cyborg, animatronic, or some other kind of robotic killer. I don't think it would take the scare out of the game either. I personally think evil robots are scary, with how deadly a metal creature could be. Like terminators. It just seems like trying to force the FNaF lore in would make it more difficult to put in the game. Plus licensing deals probably take some work.
Plus I agree, I don't think people need to understand the lore or whatever to be interested in the killer/chapter/paragraph. I don't think I've ever seen Halloween but I still know Michael and he still has a unique playstyle that I can value in the game, so I bought it. Same thing with Demogorgon. Never watched Stranger Things before seeing the trailer, but I didn't have to to know that the giant crawling naked baby monster looked cool and had a terrifying scream.
