I think this is a great change, since I recently switched to survivor anyway. But either case gens will be constantly regressing. Now when you chase someone off a genny it will instantly start regressing, no longer wasting time to kick it.
It will get stronger as the game goes on, and if survivors decide to wait to do the hex than it sets up a possible 3 gen with the hex contained within.

The god windows arent related to any perk i mean, your noed too wont work there. Plus, if you start playing low tier killers, yes, it will be harsh, but this isnt a problem related to the perk even if it means the perk will be weaker because of it. That's why reworks exist after all

What do you mean lol ? You want totems to appear in perfectly random places ? it would be even worse. Badham's totems are perfect, you have to actually search for them, but it's not like you need to search for the entire match, nor that you could randomly spawn on it

I know where they spawn, we can usually break the totem within the first minute or less, sometimes later if it spawns between the cinder blocks because we have a habbit of passing it by accident a couple times.

This will just promote lesser experienced killers to tunnel more. The faster a survivor is gone, the less stress they will have trying to kill everyone else.
Killers have been asking the devs to slow down the game a bit and this is what they get instead. It’s obvious that they care more about the survivors than killers. I just wonder how long it will take for it to bite them in the butt.
I don’t consider myself a killer main, especially since I enjoy playing my Claudette, doing my best to do objectives, help heal and unhook or pop out of nowhere to take a hit for someone, but I have started to play killer more and more and it’s obviously a lot more stressful. I don’t have ruin on my Trapper and I usually get two gens done by the time I find some traps and set them in a small part of the map.

Have you ever played vs high rank survivors? With current stupid locations of totem spawn this new hex will be destroyed until mid game and not surviving until late game like its supposed. You changed it from early perk to late per but hexes will never survive until late game. Do you get it??? What about do something about gen speed instead of ruining only one perk that prevents gen rushing?

Gen speeds need a huge rework and gen rushing on the larger maps are a constant problem. Having to shoe horn thrilling tremors into my builds to try and slow down gens is not fun and having to be forced to use meta perks all the time against red rank surviors is very frustrating.
This game over the past year has been more survivor sided and every update has been a killer nerf of some sort.
Mind you i play survivor at red rank and killer at red rank as well. Ps4 player btw.
The que times are awful for survivor on ps4 btw and the match making is broken af. Ranks1-4 vs a rank ten killer feels bad.

I had a game yesterday with 4 rank 2's and they did all gens on purpose with ruin still up. It was right next to one gen and it was intentional, I managed to hook everyone at least once, 3 escaped and I'm not a bad killer. Imagine those great skill checks reducing the repair time, I would not have any change whatsoever to kill anyone. I just don't see the point of this change because on low ranks the players are afraid to do gens anyway. Ruin doesn't even matter that much because they're dead anyway and as statistics tell it isn't even used that much at lower ranks. What's the logic here?
The only way games keep on being interesting is that higher ranks killers give some slack to survivors and vice versa on lower ranks. Why do these devs try to keep on balancing because they have no clue how it is whatsoever.
If I see potatoes that don't belong in high ranks I usually give them the change to do gens and find a hatch if I can afford it. I rarely see anyone goofing with their life on survivor side really. I see a lot of goofing of course but it's not really risky because certain perk combos on 2-3 survivors. If some of the best survivors won't even up the games more in the future by willingly removing the better perks or by doing something else, it's not gonna be fun. I'm not a fan of slugging but it will probably increase in the future. I rather hook people but it makes killer lose so much time in dire situations.

So its only useful in the endgame! BUT PEOPLE CAN LITERALLY SPAWN ON IT! You wont have your Hex by that time!

We are not even that good, and it's just 3 of us generally.
It's also most teams you go against from middle ranks upwards, we are pretty much the average example.
It's very much 100% the fault of the devs, and their unwillingness to admit in mistakes. I mean look at them now, they are so mad about people posting screens of rank 20 killers getting red rank 2 SWF groups they are making it so ranks don't show in the post game lobby anymore.
It's becoming more and more clear of their character.

Atleast if it stays for like a minute you have a minute to get hooks. Now it doesnt even do anything in the early stages of the game.

Actually a dev answered, you cant use kicking perks with it, so no overcharge or pop
but it means Surveillance will be active on all the gens.

Yeah this would be correct when the game is 1v1 however it is 4v1.
Chase me off of the gen and while you are in chase with me the gen doesn't regress at all because a friend of mine is working on that gen.
All you have to do as survivor is not 3 gen yourself, lol you guys are so genius.

Difference is that old ruin was supposed to slow down early game (first 1-3 minutes) until totem stays. It was helping to add little time to find survivor and apply some pressure. Now? This perk is useless coz its supposed to be late game perk (as devs stated) but no hex totem will survive until late game (until you play vs potato team). Plus you cannot use this perk in combination with PGTW. Where si benefit for killer? Im getting used to this new trend of pampering survivors and destroying killers and their perk.

There is no lack in survivors nor killers it's a matchmaking problem
The game is at its highest players active since its launch since the Stranger Things Chapter
It's matchmaking problems due to servers, and swfs making the population between low ranks and high ranks unbalanced, meaning there's too many killers in low ranks and too many survivors in high ranks

Thrilling tremors will force survivors to give away their positions and regress the other gens
Surveillance will give you total gen information all the time
and im sure there's more i just didnt think of yet, this perk wont be useless at all

Oh thats nice with surveillance but thats if Ruin stays up. Id probly kick it to the curb and run PGTW and corrupt. I just dont get the early game nerf. Thats the point of ruin is to help in the early game where killers struggle the most.

i think you can protect it well if you play hag/trapper/demo/freddy so it wont break

So if im a Huntress on Ormond or Thompsons I should just accept 2 or 3 gens in the first minute just because the devs want more fun for new players (survivors)

Devs are extremely wrong whit this change. They say "but now, surveillance with corrupt intervention and ruin could be fine!"... So, instead to fix the gen rush problem, they destroy ruin, and force killers to run a variety of weak and ######### perks, as if killers had 8 perk slots... While survs can rush gens without needing a single perk.
Sad, very sad, and I am a main surv, but I want to play, not to force killers to uninstall.

You are still not getting that its still hex. It will not survive until late game and its supposed to be late game hex. They changed it from early game hex to late game hex and we all know that no hex will survive until late game. As old hex it was adding precious time to killer to apply pressure and prevent poping 2 gens in first 3 mins. Now it will not help early.
I was predicting some nerfs to ruin coz survivors are constantly crying about it so Im not using it for more than half year so it has no effect on me but Im dissapointed that BHVR is highly survivor sided.

Remember guys you can always give feedback for the changes on the PTB. The overwhelmingly negative feedback will then be thrown in the garbage before the perk is nerfed on release.

Then slap haunted ground and Corrupt to protect Ruin ! I dont know, maybe you're not thinking it inside a build but if you want to use Ruin inside a build, remember that there's still 3 other perks you can use to defend it if you just really want to play Ruin all day

So instead of reworking maps and base gen speed lets nerf the most used perk (80%) in red ranks. Might be a reason why its used that much, no? Lets nerf nurse, spirit, freddy, legion and oni first. Now ruin, and f- those sound issues for killers.

Mind explaining why you deal with Ruin, but none of the core issues regarding gens?
Like survivors gen tapping it mid chase with no penalty or even getting hitting which negates the entire fact a killer kicked it.

HG doesn't protect ruin. It punishes people for looking, but having more hex totems doesn't effect the odds of finding a specific totem.

...Maybe, just maybe, reworking maps and killers takes (just a little) more time than reworking a perk no ?
Plus, Spirit isnt less op than before, Nurse is finally good (her add-ons are very bad tho i'll say), Freddy is still the strongest, Legion got a boost, and Oni... ok, give him back his flick he's crying.
Sound issues are not only for the killer players tho, and that isnt something intended like a rework so i dont get what you mean there
