Nah, some of us just actually learn to play as each Killer efficiently rather than sticking the same perks on every single Killer and acting like we're good. I personally play Adept Killer + 1 generic perk so I feel like I'm better than most of the crutch perk Killers that have been whining today.
@xChrisx is correct in his post. You all have relied on Ruin and now it's gonna be trash so now you wanna take your ball and go home. Thanks for Ruining (cwatididthar) Hag cause you all don't wanna learn how to play the Killers properly.

there were always killer who could easily 4k with even those op survivors stuff. those people were skilled killers, nowadays every baby killer wants to be skilled

tunnel and camp
slug all game every game
for some that is how you play killer and it is fine

I like to play killer of getting lots of hooks, lots of chases. etc. so I don't tunnel, I don't slug a lot and I don't camp. because of this I NEED RUIN. you cant play like that WITHOUT RUIN. now I could be a piece of crap and say "because you don't run ruin and you probably slug and tunnel every game you don't know how to play killer" but im not a piece of crap unlike you for telling people that because they run ruin that they don't know how to play killer

So if ruin never existed you're saying you wouldn't have ever stuck to playing this game? Sounds kinda silly, maybe try not to depend on a single perk? I seen lots of great killers succeed without ruin going against good players.

No the exact opposite,survivors were bad,and they still are.The reason the statistics are like they are is cause the ranking system is dogshit.New rank reset system will make even more bad survivors come to red ranks even tho they don't deserve it.If you played against a good red rank 1 survivor now in 1.9.3 you'd have a 5 minute chase cause of pallet vacuums making pallets alot safer etc.

a yes a survivor main thinking ruin is not needed for killers or a killer who does not play at red ranks or even purple ranks.

a red rank killer who only slugs and tunnels to make up for not having ruin and calling that "how you should play killer"

Those aren't good survivors then,sorry to bring it to ya.Those survivors are "red ranks" but they aren't the actual red ranks,You'd know that,by watching tru3 play on stream,considering he has stuck with this game for the whole time,he himself said that if he didn't play against bad survivors,he'd become a survivor main.That's coming from a guy which has been playing the game for more than 3 years,and went through everything

Only weak Killers need Hex: Ruin. So, to have a meltdown about the changes says more about your ability as a Killer than not. Get better at the game. Apply more pressure.

That logic is hilarious because I am seeing a lot of killers complaining about Borrowed Time, Unbreakable, and Decisive Strike, yet...they do the very things that allow the survivors to get use out of those perks. Which is tunneling and slugging.
Also, killers already slug and tunnel. So what else is new?

If I'm playing a lower mobility killer, yes I'm going to use ruin. If I'm playing something where I can move around the map more easily, no I'm not going to use ruin. However, ruin is kind of needed for some killers on the early game pressure. Those are just pure facts. But, with ruin changes, I can just have fun using iri seal Plague and have survivors eventually complain about that til Plague will get nerfed

No one is going to play killer anymore there will be no competition at high ranks. they are just trying to balance the game for lower players which is just going too loose all of their passionate high level fan base

And I know you're not a good Killer cause you think you NEED Ruin in any capacity. No.....no you don't. You'd know this if you didn't completely rely on a crutch perk. Now you won't have a choice but to learn how to be a good Killer or maybe you'll just stop playing altogether?

I never complained about those perks cause i always went for the 3 hook everyone and spread map pressure onto everyone strat. I just want killers to get something aswell. Why can't DS receive a nerf in which it gives the survivor less time to be invincible,or adrenaline to just heal you up instead of giving that speed burst and the heal. And i said that cause camping and slugging will prob be most of the games now,which i didn't face alot at red ranks myself

if you think you can play at rank 1 without ruin AGAINST REAL RANK 1 SURVIVORS there is no chance you win unless you tunnel and camp, even doing that you will still probably lose. ruin was needed to balance the game where the devs woudlnt balance it. ruin was not a crutch perk it was a NECESSITY.
and I do play a NICE good killer, I don't slug that much. I don't tunnel. I try to do 3 hooks per survivor for BP and it makes the game more enjoyable for both sides, ruin ALLOWED this kind of play. new nerfed ruin will not

Well sorry you feel you gotta waste a perk slot on Ruin solely cause you picked a slow Killer. There are ways to play around these things. If the Killer is slow just pick which gens you want to sacrifice and protect the ones that you know you'll be able to reasonably patrol. Sometimes you just gotta learn to play differently with each Killer and now you guise don't have a choice.

Because instantly teleporting to another side of a pallet was totally realistic, yeah? And running around with a deep wound makes total sense that it doesn't go down at all for the timer. How many add-ons for killer powers have been nerfed? But hey, apparently you shouldn't rely on perks to win the game.

Ah that's it! You're one of those "Killers" that tries to make the game enjoyable for both sides even though the Survivors aren't trying to make it enjoyable for you. You need to worry about only YOURSELF and this goes for playing as Survivor and Killer.
And I've watch Monto pretty much and Ohmwrecker pretty much GGEZ red ranks without that stuff. In fact the Red ranks look like they're worse at the game than level 20s.

Why are you even talking, when you obviously have zero understanding of the game?
Ruin is needed and this is a fact pointed out by many good killers. Killers that win games without ruin are either playing at low rank or against boosted survivors at higher ranks.
Without ruin you won't be able to get even a single kill against a good SWF ... even as the top killers.

Yes, I have zero understanding of the game. Let's go with that because I don't rely on Ruin to win games. I actually take the time to learn how to play as a Killer using their perks and don't have to go digging into other Killer's bag of tricks to win. That's it. I apologize. You're a great Killer cause all you can't win without Ruin. My apologies.

You don't have a choice because YOU'RE getting cucked on Ruin. I'll be just fine on the Gate Keeper end. This Iri Plague sounds quite intriguing, though. I'm all for things that annoy Survivors.

Try a different strategy with clown. I've seen red rank killers 4k with clown without ruin. Not saying your gonna 4k every game... Let's just be honest here we all play against other real people, sometimes more often or not we all run into people who are just better players. And not saying you are a bad player at all, but there's always gonna be people who are better players.
All you can do is learn from mistakes, try new strategies and perk builds until you find the right combination that works for you. You can't just pick a random killer and expect to 4k every game without putting in the time to understand and effectively use that killer. I think most killers use ruin as a crutch instead of a strategic tool.
There are some pretty smart killers in these forums that have some pretty cool builds. Why not ask around for ideas and see what works best for them. I have used several builds from posts in here that were very successful for me.
Last thing, I'm a Doc main and I'm really looking forward to seeing the new changes tomorrow. And your already saying the perk is garbage and it's not even out yet. Why don't we all wait until we can see it in action before we flip out, fly off the handle and all look like dumb jerks in the process.

I rarely played at all during the entire double bp and I'll probably just never touch it again. The Ruin changes + The Doc changes really just hammer down the reality that the devs number one concern is a complete lack of understanding of red ranks, and how they just want to make the game "fun" for anyone that isn't the killer.
I honestly just can't believe these changes. You could have Ruin destroyed before it had a single ounce of impact in the game, when it's needed most as the blog says - at the start, right?

No killer who can play this game properly needs ruin. Thats just imagination of a low skilled playerbase.

Of course you don't need ruin when playing against low rank or plain bad survivors, but that is not how balancing should work.
The game should be balanced around the highest rank.
After every rank reset I stop using ruin until I reach high ranks, because I feel bad about new players. But once you get ######### on, you will note the difference it makes.

After these changes go live Solo Survivor and Killer are going to be much more stressful meanwhile SWF gains more strength from these changes this will only encourage Solo players like myself to give in and be forced to find people to play this game with and squad up. As a person who plays both roles solo this hurts me tbh. I might just be a straight up survivor main after this and leave my Killers to catch dust.

A lot already quit. BHVR has lost it, killed nurse, nerfed Spirit, nerf doctor, and now killing a slowdown perk of all things.

Ruin is gonna be bad. You can tell that already,unless it wasn't a hex perk. BUT,you never know until you test like you said,problem is killer is LIMITED.You can't stop 3 people from working on gens on cowshed as leatherface for example if your chase still hasn't ended cause of the badly designed maps(amount of safe pallets,the map is big so even if you end the chase you need time to get to the gen which you can't if the killer doesn't have mobility). I just want lower tier killers buffed and then ruin can be gone. I don't use it on good killers,but it's absolutely needed on lower tier ones if you want to be as succesful as possible. If you could possibly link me a good clown/bubba main that plays without ruin and 4ks at rank 1,it'd be greatly appreciated. I'm saying it for real cause if there is a better way i want to learn it but at the moment,i just don't see any other option.

Everyone forgets not every new killer has ruin unless the level up hag or get lucky with shrine of secrets. When I started playing I didn't see ruin until green ranks. And who cares if new survivors can't hit skill checks. They need to learn. Don't punish killers for it.

to make up for this change most killers (who remain and not quite) will probably use moris every game, slug, tunnel, camp etc.
