Killer mains suddenly forgot...
Killer mains asking for meta survivor perks nerf after the ruin nerf suddenly forgot about Self Care, Decisive, BT, Mettle of Man, Balanced Landing, Saboteur but hey, devs are biased against killers, right? Grow up, while I don't have a problem with the current Ruin, this change might mean that something else will come in the game soon after this change, something like gen speed, they are planning things for the long term for a few months now, so chill.
Edit: The amount of bias in some of you, lol, not even worth having a good argument. Yeah, those perks are still used, some of them are so of them not so much. But overall, devs have been balancing the game for the last 3 years and now after they release stats that show that this game is not actually that survivor sided some of you think you keep posting the same emotional nonsense when most probably you are just a bad player overall. Sad truth. One more note. I don't agree with this change as some of you were saying in thread, but I find it amusing when you call the game survivor-sided and the devs catering to survivors. Don't forget we just had the instaheals nerfed. Be a little more rational.

Old Decisive was arguably better to deal with, borrowed receive its 4th buff in a row, mettle of man was uncounterable, it isnt a nerf.

I wouldn’t consider DS a nerf, but more of a trade off for affecting survivors in a more balanced way. Is BT nerfed? It activates infinite times in a game now. MoM was always broken to begin with, saying it got nerfed was because it clearly was an unrealistic perk to use. Balanced Landing wasn’t the problem, the maps are the problem, you can still run infinite’s if you haven’t noticed.

I would say old DS was more counterable than it is now, but way worse in terms of game health.
BL would've been better off being like Q&Q and reducing fall staggers every 20 seconds.
MoM was uncounterable.
BT got its 4th buff.

Ahh yes, the classic "you're an X main so your opinion is invalid." Mettle of Man was gutted, I'll give you that, but it was poorly thought out in the first place. The fact that the devs thought it was ever okay in its original form is beyond me. Balanced Landing is still the exact same perk, you just can't abuse it anymore. Borrowed Time has been buffed consistently since legion and deep wounds were introduced. Decisive Strike was BUFFED so that every survivor gets its benefits, NOT just the obsession.

This new ruin looks pretty insane with surveillance. Gens are just constantly regressing at all times and you know if someone is working on any of them? Too bad it will still be gone in the first few minutes of the game.
I can see the reason for the change, a lot of my games when I play killer will be SWFs carrying along new players. So it will be 1-2 rank 2-4 survivors and some rank 15's. The rank 15's just get so crushed it is probably off-putting for them. They can't do gens, they won't last 30 seconds in a chase, they will be bad at hiding, and they are feeding me snowball perks like pop with their easy downs.
Meanwhile, a full red rank lobby will usually have some toolbox gamers who just power through it and don't care at all, or it's dead in the first minute of the game.

Balanced Landing was literally unbalanced ironically
Mettle of Man was also unbalanced
BT is still meta
Ruin is only meta against a bad team assuming it even lasts all game and most of the time it does not because totem spawns are trash for most maps and you can learn totem spawn points and just run to them to check if the hex is up. It's not unbalanced at all. I've never seen a self-made red rank survivor with skill complain that ruin is op. Just. Saying.

And... Mettle of Man was disgusting, DS made your first chase with the obsession obsolete, and Balanced landing created infinites (let's nerf the perk not redesign the ######### map).

I really like that idea for BL. Keep the silent landing part and bump the cool down back a bit and it would have been perfect.

If you don't tunnel you are not affected by BT lol . I could agree that old BT was broken , but it was 2 years ago , don't go after unhooked survivor , you won't notice BT .

MoM was an overdone nerf, which a majority of people would agree with.
BL was changed to be similar to other exhaustion perks. It also could create some insanely strong loops.
BT has been buffed multiple times and is still meta.
DS is still meta.

If OP were around in the early days, he probably would've argued that infinites, pallet vacuum and instablind flashlights were fair and balanced. To even defend original MoM shows a complete lack of game balance understanding.

Someone forgot that pretty much all those survivor perks got incredible buffs/changes to make them as strong as they were (many still are) prior to changing them which could be considered made them even better in many aspects.
Killer's perks/mechanics that were really strong get gutted whenever survivors complain for long enough that it's not fun to face them. For 1 survivor nerf there were 3 killer nerfs. Go read this old patch notes and see the scary amount of killer nerfs even when surviors were and still are the real power role since 2016.

No i have not forgotten about the 5 buffs to borrowed time since its original nerf. and DS is arguably stronger atleast not weaker than it was. Balance landing is still the best exhaustion perk altough not OP on haddonfield and such, mettle of man i agree with and the devs took it to far like they did with, legion and his addons, nurse and her addons being mostly a hindrance, oni and his only usable ultra rare, hex ruin, spirit (addons except prayer beads). And this is only in the last 3-4 months.
Edit: Im not even a killer main. i play mostly swf. And still i find the treatment from the devs to be extremely biased...

All depends on the map and RNG. You get disturbed ward and the survivors spawn on top of it, your perk is gone in 20-30 seconds,
You get or offer Hawkins and it spawns behind a barrel in some random room? It will be up the entire game.

How is that? You all seem to remember about BT's buffs but you have forgotten that the devs introduced the oblivious status effect. BT has little effect on the matches against Freddy's and Ghostfaces. And surely you are too new to remember the 2017 BT, but oh well...

None of those are even comparable to a perk that can get got in 30 seconds. There was zero downside to running any of them

Just think about the killer trying to down someone who was running mom, DH, DS, with an Insta heal and adrenaline. Mind boggling. Compared to a perk that you use knowing it is going to be a vacant slot at some point in the game....usually very quickly.

But I'm not comparing those, you failed to see the whole point of the thread. It was addressed to those who thought devs are catering to survivors. When they are not. They have been balanced those perks I mentioned, they've nerfed instaheals, they've reduced the amount of safe pallets replacing them with unsafe ones, especially on newer maps. My whole point is, that DEVS AREN'T CATERING TO SURVIVORS. This is a message for every entitled killer main that think they know best.

Again I disagree. Even the streamers who play mostly only survivor complain that survivor is way too easy. Literally all of them except pug who likes to just stir the pot.
I understand what you're saying but the game is still set up that anyone with two hands and a somewhat functional brain can make the game a nightmare for a killer. DS was not balanced. It went from one or two people having it a game to almost every survivor.

Bias and actually knowing the imbalances killer has are completely different.
Survivor entitlement gone through the roof. Now it's only Survivors allowed to be mad and call out the other side.
Killer meta is ruin (can be broken 14 seconds in) sloppy butcher (countered by inner strength or by not healing at all) and that's about it.
You list the meta survivor perks which have been nerfed in the past, do you think anyone who plays this game wants a perk like Mettle of man to be nerfed so much that it's just pointless and unattractive.
If you're solely a main of survivor or killer you are likely unaware of the imbalances of the other side so I don't see why people decide to be so critical of something obviously unknown to them.

I like how you listed a bunch of survivor perks that were supposedly nerfed as hard as Ruin is getting nerfed but in reality, outside of Mettle, everyone still uses those perks. Borrowed? Still incredibly strong and popular. Balanced? Still very strong and popular. Self Care? Still a complete waste of time but a popular perk loads of survivors use. Dstrike? Still incredibly strong and abused by many survivors and incredibly popular. The only exception is Mettle which was an outright broken perk.
So you brought up the closest survivor perks you could think of to this Ruin nerf and none of them are even remotely close, and that's not even mentioning that Ruin can literally be removed 25 seconds into a match lol.

Yeah, they forget survivor perks have been nerfed hard, some to the point of being useless. They need to suck it up and learn how to keep pressure on survivors and not rely on a perk to do their work for them

Monto could prove to be a much better killer if he showed the bad matches he has. His YouTube channel has only matches where the Survivors literally walk to walls and don't repair gens.

Balance Landing got nerfed cause it was basically broken on Hawking. Perk itself was always fine. It's not our fault that designers decided to make infinites possible again on that map.
