Ruin changes and some thoughts from a rank 1 console killer and survivor
I think these changes to Ruin are bad.
Now I think Ruin is a very boring perk and hate running it but it feels very needed on weaker killers at high ranks.
Please consider looking at gen repair speeds along side this change. That's why most people want Ruin.
It was already a high risk vs high reward perk by it being a hex. The changes make it so weak it does need to be a hex perk anymore.
Please consider removing its status as a Hex perk or significantly increase the regression rate.
To any survivor mains who like this change; just consider how this will affect the high ranks. I hear complaints about only seeing the same killers over and over again, rarely seeing other weaker killers at the top. Now that's all you will ever see. Only the killers that can inherently apply pressure like Nurse, Billy, Freddy, or Spirit will be played. What little diversity we had will be gone unless the gen repair speeds are nerfed along side Ruin.
From my experience playing survivor; It didnt take me long to learn how to hit great skillchecks.

They are awful.
Then after 15 minutes of waiting someone gets disconnected and we start all over.
I'm not trying to be rude but I hope Behavior realizes how dedicated the player base is to the game.

Supersonic queue times as killer and you can dodge any lobby you want just because that David isn't a shirtless David, the bastard! What's not to love? If you're not having fun, just go afk, and the survivors who waited thirty minutes for a match now get to play a gen repair sim.

Well according to 'the king' console playerbase is bigger than PC one. Surprising because of how badly optimised this game is with it's frame drops and the lunge cancelling itself for no ######### reason.

True, unless they bring a Mount Ormond offering. Then they deserve to be bored to death for forcing me to play on the worst map ever.

Ugh, Ormond, scratch marks and auras on that map continue to suck.
Haddonfield is the map I'll sometimes just afk on from the start. Screw that map, I hate everything about it. [BAD WORD]ing fences that go half the length of the map. If they burn an offering for it, I hope the survivors have the most boring match on the planet not seeing the killer once.

Regarding the removal of the hex-status: I think they already stated that the hex aspect is necessary since the combination of Hex: Ruin and Surveillance would be overpowered.
In my opinion they should not touch Ruin at all since its mostly broken within 20-60 seconds in the game :D

Lunge cancelling what? I've been playing since the console paunch and have never experienced this. What is it?

Have you ever thought that survivors want to only see the top tiers in red ranks? The pick rate will spike along with the cries of op and those killers will get nerfed leading all killers to be clown tier

It's when you go for a lunge but the stupid auto aim thinks the survivor is closer. So it shortens the lunge thinking it's gonna hit. Instead it doesn't and you get punished for no reason other than bad optimisation. Better hope Doc and new Lerys get optimisition because if it doesn't, that map is gonna run at best, 20 fps. With frame drops of course.
