Why The Ruin of Ruin?

Being honest, the perk did need nerfed.

But their nerf was the equivalent of chopping someones arm off when only the finger needed to be amputated.

There were better ways to handle the perk, but the passive regression is a solid idea.

The issue with the perk now is that it remains a Hex. As they said, it will be useful in the late game, but how many lit totems, let alone any totems survive that long anymore?

Ever since the scoring buff and Inner Strength, there is more reason than ever to just find a totem and cleanse it. With only 5 totems on the map and 4 survivors, it takes very little time before all the totems are gone. Most totem spawns are honestly garbage and allow a survivor to see and know where a totem is just from being chased. Combine that with SWF who can say to their teammates exactly where the totem was at, you can kiss those things goodbye in no time.

The idea of it being more useful in Late Game is true, but before you base a perk around it's ability to do that, shouldn't you know that most totems don't make it to the Late Game.

I asked in another forum, but I will ask again here. Can we get a stat on how many LIT totems last until the last generator is complete?

If that information can come to light it would be amazing, because it would show how underpowered most Hex perks are anymore.

Ruin's downfall is that it is a Hex perk still, it should be an unbreakable and continual perk to make it truly useful while still not holding as much power as before.
