Genuine Question For the Devs

Why make the change to ruin before fixing how massive and unbalanced maps are?

I'm aware the game is very unforgiving to new survivors and a little gate-keepy, but I don't think a ruin change would solve that.

New Survivors have a massive lack of input on how pressure works in game, the back-and-forth. They're dropped into a trial where the only things they know is "do gens" and "don't get caught".

Making this ruin change without doing anything else to fix high-skill gameplay is going to be a disaster. It won't fix the main reason why it's hard for new players, and the main reason why high-skill gameplay is unbalanced.

So the big question is, why? Was all of this considered?

Because the dev's are suvivors or at the very least heavily heavily survivor sided.

Notice the doc notes, literally all it sounds like it's coming from a smug survivor.

"It feels frustrating this, it feels frustrating that."

How about how frustrating it feels for the killers?
