protesting the Ruin changes: how to
Instead of using all of your mori's and being as toxic as possible...
let's just strike from playing killer for 48 hours. I saw this suggestion in another thread, can't remember who said it otherwise i'd credit them. I really think it'll be much more effective than anything else.
Upvote this post if you want to strike from killer for 48 hours. We can start as soon as the changes go live, if they do.

I’m just going to take a break and try another game.

The entire idea of certain methods of play being "toxic" is hilariously biased by itself. It's not a protest, it's not revenge, it's playstyles adjusting to a new meta in the absence of the old. If you have to game the system from the start to win then that's what you'll do. That's what meta is: The viable way to play. If toxicity is viable then toxicity is what everyone will get.

48 hours isn't long enough try 1 month at least.

I hear civ 6 is good

I’ve seen this posted a lot on the forums and I could taste the sarcasm leaking off of it every time. Could you tell me what the reference for this recommendation is from? Did some of the Devs of this game work on that game as well?

The head dev suggested it during a dev stream because of growing complaints over bugs.

Assassin creed iv is the game to sooth your weary soul yes it may be old but it's one of the all time greats

i'm having fun with Cities: Skylines if you like SimCity type games. Super fun :) also Gmod PropHunt is hilarious.

AC III is better change my mind lol

Ah, that makes sense. It reminds me of a Diablo 3 dev asking “aren’t you thankful” or in another instance “don’t you have cellphones?”.
Here I am, haven’t touched a Blizzard game in over two years, I’d hate for that to happen with this game. Luckily, I’m still enjoying survivor somewhat.

You do realise that not everybody is on these forums right?
If everyone on these forums would go into strike for 48 hours nobody would know the difference
1 -
that's true... we just need a way to reach most players.

I wasn’t too much of a fan when the first Assassins Creed came out. The combat was too slow for me, I preferred games like Devil May Cry (I consider the original as one of my top 5 favorites of all time) and the remake of Ninja Gaiden.
Any other recommendations? I’ve been out of gaming for a while and I’d like to try something that has more meat to its story and characters. I may just buy all the Witcher games, but I’m thinking to read the books first.

I always found it to be under-appreciated by the masses. Good to see someone else can appreciate the care that went into the game.

I've heard that people love Uncharted. I didn't like it too much myself but i'm just picky. New AC games have better combat. Skyrim and Fallout 4 are great adventure/story games. Red Dead Redemption 2 is great for story.
I may also recommend The Last of Us

I hated that game so much

the story was my favourite, second only to AC: Brotherhood. I love the online multiplayer as well, hehe

I forgot about Skyrim, I heard so much good about it but never tried it. Can it be played in 3rd person or is it first person? Not really a fan of not being able to see my character.

That would be the realm of twitch players and YouTube creators. When the changes go live, some killer players who aren't connected to the larger playerbase at all will say "well, that sucks," and otherwise continue as normal. People that watch other dbd players will feel however that player has told them to feel. And forum folks will be the ones with the most urine in their pants and tear streaks on their face because they all whipped each other into a frenzy. Ultimately life will go on and everyone will adjust, or they won't. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Have you considered yakuza? Some got ported over to pc.

Haha why?

Oh I am going to be on strike for a heck of a lot longer than 48 hours. My toxic campaign has already begun to great success.

You can switch between first person and third person in both Fallout 4 and Skyrim. I like to use first person in Skyrim because combat is easier, but I use third person in Fallout because I like seeing my character in that game. (theyre both Bethesda games and the base mechanics for some stuff are the same)
Skyrim offers a lot of story and multiple side questlines. It's awesome.

I havent bothered playing killer for months, so I don't know how much I'd help :/

spreading the word helps a lot :)

if you're on playstation, give inFAMOUS second son a shot. not much in the way of story but boy howdy is it fun. If you're not, I heard good things about enter the gungeon.

ACB was my favourite until 3 then 4 but there was this particular track that would play especially in the cult lairs that creeped me out it was literally whispering. Never played AC3 multiplayer, played iv version though and throughly enjoyed it too bad they replaced it with unity co-op then nothing.

The main thing that made me quit were tailing missions in the boat.
I hate driving in games and driving a boat is even worse. Then you're expected to keep stalking ships through British waters where if you stop and wait for patrol, because I always got bad rng, you lose the ship.
Combat also wasn't fun

AC3's multiplayer is awesome. it's basically free for all hide n seek. I played it the other day actually, it still has people playing it on PS3 to this day lol.
I don't like AC4 as I hated driving the boats and I don't think I ever finished it fully. I couldn't get past that one quest to do stealth boat driving.

Granted some parts were tedious but if you can just look past it and see how unique the game is, the shanties, the exploration of old sunken ships but I get it I can't make you like it

Modern day sea vessels are boats but back in those days they were majestic ships. Surprising that ubisoft still kept the servers up for game

me too actually, I expected to wait ages for a game just to have minimum players. but i actually found multiple games that were mostly full.
