Apply Pressure to the 4head
Hey I'm new to the forums, I just never bothered with it because I figured what we said wouldn't matter anyways (It doesn't and the fact that ruin is still gonna be nerfed before key problems are fixed is proof but maybe the right thing hasn't been said enough).
The problem with new ruin is simple, it will never accomplish the same goal as old ruin, old ruin is used to keep gen speeds bearable while using a slow killer that physically can't reach every gen at the start before it's 75%-already done in their face without ruin. Old ruin was a bandaid for terrible map design and weaker killers like Clown and Bubba, I don't even run ruin on freddy because it's not necessary since he can easily "apply pressure" like certain selfish people who don't bother understanding why people are angry so badly want us to do. Truth be told this perk would be ok if it didn't replace ruin, at the moment it has interesting synergy and just needs some tweaks to make it a solid perk when combined with others, but that doesn't matter and we all know why no matter what you tell yourself or more specifically others. It doesn't matter because as it stands now only the top killers would receive any benefits from this perk (Billy, Spirit, Nurse, and Freddy) and the worst killers (Bubba, Clown, Legion, and Doctor) will only be nerfed by the loss of ruin.
Why not instead of so happily shafting the worst killers in the game we wait until you have actual fixes for these blatantly apparent problems (Map size *cough cough* Omega corn is a complete waste of time for the weaker killers). This is why killer mains are pissed and threatening to leave, all you told them by doing this was "It doesn't matter if you have fun or like using a certain perk, survivors can't hit greats and don't like having to get off the gen and find the totem so now we're gonna punish you" and with the way you worded it you really shot yourself in the foot and drove their point home even harder. Whether you like ruin or not we know that if other parts of the game changed (Map size or even gen speed if they're that lazy) this perk was getting nerfed eventually but we figured you'd at least try and remedy this issue that you so happily ignored to address (Apparently it DOES take a genius to understand why an EARLYGAME slowdown perk had an 80% usage rate in a game plagued with terrible maps littered with occasional god loops that lead into jungle gyms).
On the topic of the community you guys really need to chill with all the animosity, you do realize this game requires both killers and survivors right and please don't jump on the nerf bandwagon just because it isn't going to effect you so they might as well go through with it. Survivors sure didn't like Balanced landing being nerfed when the core issue is terrible map design (Evidently the same reason why people need ruin, isn't that something), so why be complacent in a nerf that we all know will fix absolutely nothing and just make weaker killers even worse and stronger killers potentially stronger (Freddy may end up stronger than he was before with this if he gets a lucky totem spawn).
Btw don't even joke that this perk as is will be great late game, anyone who's not incompetent knows hex perks typically don't last longer than a minute on all maps but Preschool, what a bogus "benefit".
