Question for the community about Hex: Huntress Lullaby
Hey all!
So really this is kind of a poll though I don't know if I can actually set up a poll on the forums. Regardless, simple really:
Do you guys think that Huntress Lullaby should be a Hex perk, or a regular perk?
Furthermore if you do think it should be a Hex perk, do you think it needs a buff to help it out?
Have at it folks!

If it would ever happen to be a non hex perk I would suggest for it to be nerfed or perhaps even reworked.

Regular perk, skillchecks are too ez

And same with the Hex Thrill of the hunt, its too weak to be a hex

All hex perks suks becose don't work more then 1min of game? Or before you stack this hex perk he was destroy. And you dont have bothing from this just waste of slot if you ask me.Toth should be regular perk lol y sure you see this aha...0

I made a post where I said that we could change it to a non hex perk. However, instead of hooking survivors 5 times, killers had to hook 4 different people so that it would kinda prevent camping and tunneling since killers would get something in turn for choosing different targets.
The problem is doctor.
Doctor with his annoying built would be just unbeatable. As you know, huntress lullaby does 2 things. It prevents skill check sounds from appearing, and regresses generators even further if you miss a skill check. Imagine random skill checks because of doctor's own ability without sounds and and with unnerving presence.
If it is going to become a non hex perk, then It should be nerfed.

OR
Just make the Hex a regular perk because this perk is just to weak and has the same weakness as NOED. That being it can be disabled before it even has a effect, I'm not counting the regression penalty since high ranked survivors NEVER miss skill checks.0 -
Keep it as a Hex but don't show the alert that say 'Huntress Lullaby'. Let survivors work it out themselves.

Definetly not a Hex perk. The only problem is that if it didn't have a counter it would be overkill for newbies and potato survivors, who are not who you want to make it harder for with this perk. Maybe there could be a way for the killer to loose stacks?

I don't think it should be a hex. Once you realize it's active, you just gotta' pay attention to counter it. It's one thing when you hex allows you to instantly down and mori people, or slows down the pacing of the game, but it's another thing when your hex... slightly increases the chance of making someone miss a skill check.
One of these things is not like the other.
Might need a slight reduction if it isn't a hex perk though. Maybe lessen the progression penalty. Having it always active would make it way better. Maybe.

If it would become the non-hex perk don't keep the 5 token thing.

Yeah that is what I am thinking, it is certainly not at the level of NOED or Devour hope or Ruin so it feels like a waste to me. Third Seal has the same issue.

Lullaby Hex is pretty good with unnerving presence, over charge and hex ruin
It makes the skill checks fast and super small0 -

Honestly one of the main things that kills it has a hex perk is for some reason they decided to give a notification that it's applied.
I think if you're going to keep it a hex perk either only give a notification once five stacks have been hit or just don't give a notification at all.
If you're going to stop it from being a hex perk then you probably might have to take away no warning sound and just severely reduced the warning sound0 -

Lullaby does not phase me after the hours i have in. I dont listen for the ding of a skillcheck coming anyway. I watch the screen. I also think it should be a regular perk. Its pretty weak. Hitting skillchecks after 20-50 hours is th enorm and they become a nuisance. After 50 hours you will hit them on a regular basis and start hitting great one. I nailed 4 great ones in a row tonight. Some people can do this all day.

An interesting thought that just occurred to me: The weakness of huntress' lullaby (which I like, honestly, I'm a lower level player, and I find it trips people up, including me, often enough) is that one totem is set to it, and they have to find the one, and destroy it, right?
An interesting fix would be to make the "weaker" hexes attach to more than one totem...this would also mean you would have to balance "weak" hexes and "strong" hexes, so you had enough totems for them all. The real important part is that, if say, huntress' lullaby was attached to, for example, 4 totems? That means they would have to find and destroy all 4 before it was disabled. And each destroyed one gives the killer the notification, and warns them that they are hunting for the totems.
At the very least, an interesting concept.

Hex perks are not powerful enough to justify them being a hex perk.
Just turn every hex perk into a normal one (except noed maybe).
Lullaby would be strong on the doctor. But that's it.
A failed skill check isn't a instant death. This could also allow a new meta of perks. Technician is a clear counter.0 -
Only thing i really want back for Huntress Lullaby is for its notification to be invisible. No hex notification on your first skill check like it was some patches ago, that made the perk actually usable and a nice surprise. And since it was still a hex, people could just destroy it before it had any effect anyway. That "bug" was the only thing keeping lullaby usable.
And lullaby on the doc sounds like a waste, survivors get the screen crackle regardless of lullaby and can anticipate the skillchecks if they just look at the screen.1 -
It's difficult because Doctor practically requires it to be a Hex in order to keep it from being too much.
Every Killer won't profit too much from it if it weren't a Hex, but Doctor can annihilate Survivors with it.0 -

The fact you can land great skillchecks doesn't mean everyone can. HL is a perk that affects mostly less experienced survivors, do killers really need a perk to counter them while leaving experienced survivors unaffected?
Now that I think about it, to make it useful against them HL could progressively reduce the great zone from skillchecks.0 -

A failed skill check isn't a instant death. This could also allow a new meta of perks. Technician is a clear counter.Leave ruin in as a regular perk and killers will get nothing but 3-4k. Ruin is hard for me. This will punish all the little ones and the ones who are able to hit the great ones on a regular basis.
I do agree that something needs to be done to make ruin live longer. I dont use it.

It should be a non hex perk but there should be some mechanic where you can stop it's effect on you. Maybe when you complete a gen it wears off until hit or something.0

Seeing as how it's totally nullified by tapping it shouldn't be a hex0
-
I think it should stay hex, but that totems need better placement in map generation0
-
Make it a non hex perk. I actually find it to be interesting, I would rather that perk than have ruin tbh.0
