The only way any business will ever listen is when their bottom line is hurt. I love this stupid game hell, I even got Ghostface tattooed on my freaking chest because playing as him is so fun, but I can not get in line with these changes Ruin while ignoring WHY it is used so frequently.

Our only hope, as slim as it may be, is for the team to see all the protests and pull their head out of their rears before it goes live. I do not see any good coming from this bone headed move. At best, queue times are long and matches are absolutely cut throat. At worst, players begin to leave en masse for other games (God why can't Friday, The 13th be enjoyable?!).

I am worried for the future of DBD.

Agreed. I've been avoiding mentioning Survivor-sided bias for the devs - but this is really showing how they are assessing the game. I don't feel like they are playing high rank Killer with some of the comments I've seen about the role.

The problem with this though is survivors get way more cosemetics and vastly outnumber killers. If every single killer stopped spending a dime and time on this game (I have personally) then it would barely even affect their margins.

As long as survivors are pleased and buying there is nothing that will change.

I’m still going to buy things, even if I dislike the changes, I still like dbd.

Truth be told, I don't think they're playing at all outside of trying certain mechanics. It just doesn't make sense how most of these changes get through. It's like dealing with the PUBG team.

Believe me, I love the game too. It's one of three games I play on my days off from the hospital but this is a bad move 200%

Wait until they release the new dlc with a perk that does what ruin already did. What will you do then?

Not buyin it because it will either be another bandaid or a bait and switch like they did with MoM.

I am done with it, either they fix the game and adress serious issues with it or i am not going to support anything from them any further.

Its funny. The first time I bought auric cells was around 1 year ago for a Legion cosmetic. Then the whole Legion-Plague-MoM fiasco happened and made me not want to spend money ever again.

Recently decided to get some more for the Rift and a couple more cosmetics. I liked the latest releases (with the exception of Nurse's "rework"), so I thought, why not? And then this happens.

Its almost like they wait for me to purchase to make these awful updates.

I haven't purchased a dlc with cash since before Spirit (She was gifted... thanks Lauri)

I've only purchased the killer in Licensed DLC's with appreciation to the creators of those licenses. Only killer because I don't play survivor.

I only purchase skins with shards and even then rarely.

I won't pay for the battlepass out of disdain for that monetization system and against the devs implementing it.

In all honesty, I'm just waiting for the straw to break. I seem to be spending more time looking at other games and just picked up Escape from Tarkov.

Even with all this, the devs will continue to ignore the outrage and make bank off the people who don't care.

Such is the reality of today's gaming industry... Profits over people.

If this patch goes through like that I will protest and just not buy any more DLC or Cells the rift pass was allready something I never intended to purchase

That would be the smartest thing to do.

I can imagine The Man in charge at behaviour not willing to fix anything to release bandaid after bandaid to see how far he or she can go with it in order to make more money. Why erradicate the desease when you can sell meds to aliviate the symptoms?

After all Dead by Daylight is a product and it's main porpuse is to make more money; how they manage to do that can become questionable, maybe even hurt them in the end, but greed tends to cause some collateral damage so I'm really not surprised if that's the case.

Some comments from the last 8-9 games I've had running my NOED/MORI/CAMP builds.

    "you should F** go #########"

"racist remark, racist remark, youre such a worthless human being"

"what kinda a*****e uses an ebony after the first hook. go *** your mother"

    "Go **** a donkey"

"no skilled loser has to cheat to win" (my personal favorite, running ebony on t1 myers...)

"camping, tunnelling, noed and a mori. You're protesting the ruin changes aren't you"

What a great state the game is now. I mean i was bothered by the lack of understanding of why ruin is used and the idiotic, at best, choice the devs have made in allocating their resources. Now I just don't think it's a bad thing. I honestly don't care at all about worrying about the fun for survivors, since the devs have that one covered.... It's a huge weight off and the game is actually hella fun not trying to self-balance it on such a granular level. Now, you better be way better than me to escape and if you do, I applaud you and you earned it.

The best part is, playing like this, insures I never leave the green ranks so very few people get away. Ususally when I'm matched with the top 1-2%ers in SWF's.

I think I have like 240 mori's left on leatherface. gonna be fun.

But how am I supposed to vote with my wallet, when there's nothing I need or want available, right now? And how will they know that me not buying the next new cosmetic or dlc they release, is me trying to vote with my wallet, and not just me waiting for a good sale, like I always do?
