Killer: The Rat
Lore: Dorothea Ashbury was born to a wealthy family of London in the year 1898, but due to a birthmark across the left side her face her face, they cast her out and gave her to a Catholic Orphanage known as The Refuge. There the Nuns frequently refused them food in order to "atone for their sins". She spent 10 years having to resort to desperate acts to find food. One night she saw a rat and decided out of hunger to catch it. But instead of devouring it, the rodent spoke to her. It told her of a plan. They helped her escape into the sewers. There they taught her of there ways. They taught her how to properly feast upon a corpse. How to suck the marrow from the bones. 10 more years passes and their lair was a horrifying collection of bones and assorted body parts. She then learned that the Refuge was a makeshift hospital for the sick and dying of the Epidemic. She gathered her brood and prepared them for a feast. That night, not a sole was spared, not the children, and certainly not the Nuns. The next morning authorities found a empty building riddled with human remains. Neither Dorothea or her brood were anywhere to be found.
Power: Brood Mother- The Rat places one of her rats of the ground. The rodent will reveal auras of survivors in a 45 degree cone in font of it (This has line of sight). The Rat can also place a rodent on a dying survivor and it will follow the dying survivor. A maximum of 4 rats can be placed at a time without add-ons.
Perks: A filthy killer, The Rat's unique perks Carrier,Taste for Blood, Pestilence allow her to spread disease and track her next meal.
Perk 1: Carrier: Sometimes, diseases are spread by unwitting hosts. When a survivor is hit they are given a random dormant status affect. This status affect will affect 1/2/ and the original survivor at max rank when they are healed. If the survivor selfcares they will be affected by the status affect. This status affect last for 30 seconds regardless of which status affect it is.
Perk 2: Taste for Blood: Once you taste blood it becomes your favorite drink. See the aura of survivors blood in a 8/12/16 meter radius of you. Sole Survivor begins to negate this after one survivor is killed.
Perk 3: Pestilence: Survivors affected by a status affect have a 25/50/75% chance to pass it on to injured survivors within a 20 meter radius.
Survivor: Elizabeth Roman
Lore: Elizabeth wanted a simple life. She wanted a husband, a house, and maybe even a few kids. But she never got lucky enough. Her love of children drove her to become a schoolteacher. She adored them and treated them as her own. One day she took her kids to a national park for a field trip. Two children got lost and of course Elizabeth opted to look for them. She ran off into the woods and was never seen again.
Perks: Elizabeth's unique perks Encouragement, Lessons Learned, and Grade Curve encourage team play and productivity.
Perk 1:Encouragement: You always encourage your students. Survivors within a 12/24/36 meter range have 30% bigger skill checks.
Perk 2:Lessons Learned: Sometimes you must fail in order to learn. When a survivor within 8 meters of you misses a skill check, the next skill check they pass will be perceived as a great skill check. This has a cool down of 60/50/40 seconds and can only affect one survivor at a time.
Perk 3:Grading Curve: You reward success. When a survivor gets a great skill check within 8 meters of you, all other survivors receive an action speed bonus of 2/3/4% if they are within 8 meters. Does not apply to Hex:Ruin skill checks.
I try to make perks as balanced as possible and that would hopefully coexist with other Chapter concepts. Please feel free to check out my other concepts. As always I appreciate any criticisms of what I post. Thanks for making it this far!
