The Legion had to be largely inspired by The Strangers right? I'm watching Prey At Night and can't help but see them in the roles. Who can we reach out to about the influences on the killer designs and lore? It's so good and keeps me coming back

Strangers (the group), The Purge (masks), couple canadian teenage murder cases (surprisingly a lot) and the media probably. You could maybe go on reddit for better answers, or dm a dev for a solid answer.
