Let me be frank. BHVR doesn't give a crap about player experience as long as they can fill their pockets. This is proof alone.
The first thing that in an ONLINE game should work is matchmaking. But NO --MORE DLC AND SKINS CUZ OUR FANS ARE ######### AND THROW MONEY AT US *evil corporation laugh*
im so sick of this game. Y'all ain't getting a single penny from me till you fix basic game mechanics and you should do the same if you want them to listen.
This is not about killer/survivor stuff and a balance between them. This is about everything else that has had 5 years time to improve.............

I honestly don't think they can fix matchmaking that's why they wanna hide it I think. But man I've had friends who play complain about this but seeing it is something else.

Friend, I am really sorry you had that experience -- that's just awful. I know I've seen some funky matchmaking but that's terrible.
Also, 3 BT, 3 Adrenaline, 3 DS, but Ruin is clearly the problem perk...?

They did this to themselves and us by constantly given killers the short-end of the stick. Hope it was worth it.

This matchmaking will be the slow death of DBD its worse then ruin skill checks its actually game breaking. New players and Vets can't have fun because they shouldn't be matched but that is what will happen with this matchmaking.

1) Behaviour only listening to survivors
2) not taking action for they're own mistakes
3) they can't be bothered in fixing match making. this has been an issue since late November. I brought it up and people all said "they're on holiday's they'll fix it when they get back." ... 2nd week into the new year still no mention of fixing it only "we might hide it for a test"

don't get me wrong, i love the game. But i also loved "Friday the 13th: the game" Don't go waiste a great game by not supporting the majority of players and just the ones who whine and threaten you with false claims.

Agree with everything but the slow part. My survivor queues are longer than ever, killer queues are instant. The effects are happening now.

They can't fix it because bhvr can't measure player skill properly unlike many other multiplayer games. The emblem system isn't good for ranking skill because its rng based really and dependent on various uncontrollable factors. So in saying that bhvr has no way of measuring skill even rank is cosmetic really.

DBD's steam charts player count is 19,761 it hasn't gotten above 23-24k since ruins nerf where revealed however its the matchmaking that's a terminal illness.

The game is out almost 5 years now. There is no game in existance i can think of that only got worse the longer it 'flourished'
They keep mopping up their own messes, spilling bigger ones everywhere. It's like cleaning the floor with a dirty, wet cloth. It just smears and causes more problems.
I personally think they do not care. If a game is not perfect after release i can understand, but leaving core game functions that aren't even gameplay unattended for 4 years, gradually making them worse makes the developers look like a team of incompetent, moneyhungry twats.

I expect killers are gonna become more and more rare at red rank unless you play DBD for a living or something. But they are becoming rarer at higher ranks as well

I feel like the ruin nerf is going to drop a lot of killers out of red ranks and boost a lot of survivors into red ranks. If that does happen, then matchmaking will be screwed more than it already is.

I’ve had same experience lately. I was playing and noticed the survivors were intense. Got to end game screen, all rank 4-5. I’m rank 14 killer right now.

Well sorry but this is not a problem, after all we do care about new survivor players and we came to the conclusion matchmaking is fine, but skillchecks are the reason why new players leave this game. Git gud you noob.

I think the worse thing is there has been NO official statement of any kind made. It's like they are just ignoring the community at large. Remember when they used to engage the community weekly? I mean, the community as a whole sucks sure, but that's no reason to quit communicating with your player base.
The matchmaking is as bad as it was a year ago and I did the same thing then that I am doing now, hardly playing at all. (maybe every 3-4 days to mop up some dailies) Being a killer player, going against constant red ranks SWF is just disheartening. It's seriously game breaking and people are gonna eventually move on because of it.

I had same kind experience couple days ago on ps4 as killer. im rank 10 as killer and two games row i had red rank suvivors in game, third one had pretty random ranks from yellow to red.

Just quit if you hate the game. I mean it’s a no brainer. Go play something else or riot in the streets, but it won’t change anything. The game will just get new players.

I am a survivor main (first person camera gives me motion sickness so as much as I would like to I cant play killer) and I think the Ruin nerf is the absolute worst. Like, yes, Ruin is a pain in the butt to go against and I think it was better the way it was before the buff (affecting certain survivors based on the perk tier), but the match making is absolutely terrible, and for how many overpowered perks Survivors have that cant be squashed by taking out a totem, I think this was a very bad decision on the devs part.
But that aside, this match making is RIDICULOUSLY bad. I havent gone against a good, sweaty, red rank killer since I started playing DBD about a year ago. Granted, I still get the floor wiped with my face by some yellow ranks but I hardly even get a green rank and I'm sitting at a 5 right now.
