Demo isn't as good as people say

It's true and a lot of people don't want to acknowledge it. His shred is high risk low reward. It's so easy to dodge that most the time your extending chases not cutting them short. His portals are mostly situational and have to many drawbacks. There is no ambush potential with his portals because of the loud map wide noise notification when he teleports plus his stomping that can be heard 16 meters away. His addons have got to be some of most boring and worst in the game. Also Adam needs more skins

Demo is good you have to play him like Huntress and predict or bait.

Never shred at the survivors shred where they will dodge like Huntress flicks.

Adapt to survivor behavior they're human they'll have tells some will run straight some will dodge certain ways.

You need to learn strategies with portals sometimes double trapping a key area is a good idea/paths you could trap to use KI on to locate.

You don't have to ambush with the traps the mobility alone is map pressure...

Demo has a high skill ceiling a lot to master.

  • Just needs some small qol tweaks, one bug fix, and an overall of a large portion of his addons. That's all.

Demogorgan needs to hit the gym to get buff instead of binge watching Netflix series after series.

His stomping is hardly heard atleast for me. Sand I have a good headset. Oni stomping is way louder

  • Oni doesn't have a stealth effect that it counters xD

If you wanna be technical about it he does. It's called nemesis

  • That's a perk, and it just removes their terror radius with oblivious, it's not undetectable status.

A lot of players have been saying for a long time that The Demogorgon is underwhelming. Passed the hype of his release, once survivors had the time to get used to him, we started to notice that he really struggle against decent survivors despite his kit seemingly having a lot to offer.

The Demogorgon problems are pretty simple when you take a close look.

-He has a lot of loud sound cues that give away a lot more information to the survivors than any other killer.

-His portals are finicky to place and not very convenient to use. They are also easily removed with very little downside for the survivors.

-His add-ons are very unimpressive and don't really help him.

I coud go into way more details as I've done in some past discussions, but that is the basic gist of it. Demogrgon's kit is a bit all over the place and very rough around the edges.

I never thought he was good.

Seems like he really needs faster portal dropping time and less auditory warnings.

He's not terribly different from the Hag in concept, and he falls along the cycle of design that Trapper, Hag, Pig, and Spirit have, being one of the next set of variances in function.

Demo is the jack of all trades, master of none.

Give the demogrogons add ons similar treatment to the shapes. Assign a Modification to Each Add on Category. For example the add ons that revolve around increasing the duration of evil within are all involved with tufts of hair. Give Demo 2 add on category's Ones that modify portal time and the time you get undetectable and ones that give more penalties for sealing portals and another category for shred.maybe they could change Liprose Lichen to cause shred to reveal survivor auras withing 12 meters but heavily increase the amount of time it takes for Traversing the Upside down to recharge Make Demo's footsteps and attack cooldown smaller and not map wide. The only thing the demogrgon's loudest sound should only be the screech it makes when traversing the upside down. Now I know this is going to get. But then survivors will immediately stop what their doing. I know but the screech forces people to be strategic with portal placement so survivors can never know where the demogrgon can emerge. It's mainly the add ons that need looking at and portal placement.

Demo main here. I love Demo obviously but I actually think he is in a better place than most people think. I am sitting at Rank 1 playing him exclusively 90% of the time and can consistently 4k while piping. His shred is actually an amazing tool. Knowing where to use it and where to bait it is key. Any bottleneck of any kind is a free hit with shred. Mostly bait it out in the open and if they don't react to your bait then let her rip and try to predict their movement. People keep saying the portals are niche but they are actually amazing, set them up but dont activate them until you have to so you can "surprise" them. Even if you dont get the 100% jump on them you still just traveled the map at an insane speed and are going after another survivor. In key locations put down 2 portals but only activate one. If they are able to cleanse without you knowing then you can still teleport there and apply pressure. Only issues I have with him are a majority of his add-ons are not good or power altering at all. I think thise need a full rework and they couldve been more creative with them. Like one that mutes his roars and one that lets you turn around mid upside down and go back to the portal you came from. Also his stomps should be muted while undetectable.

I feel like you'd have to play really dirty to play demogorgan well at red ranks. A toolbox troupe of genrushers and serial loopers can wreck even the strongest killers and Demogorgan is far from the strongest killer.

Wait... who thinks demo is better than average? Are you saying he's worse than people think because he is below average?

I'd say he was trash. I'd rather play a killer that excels at one thing (chases, map pressure, stealth) instead of being completely mediocre at everything. Demo is a mess. The only reason people like him is because of the media he's from.

That makes him rather boring to play not to mention freddy does chase and map pressure better than demo. He should at least have something to make him stick out

I think he's fun to play. I don't really care about power, but it feels good to play as him. I've never seen the show, but after leveling him up to 40 for Perks (going to P3 him eventually), I realized I had just as much fun with him as I do with Hag, Huntress and Myers.

He might be weaker than the holy trinity, but there's a lot of enjoyment to be had just roaming around smacking people with him. Especially when you can bait a shred dodge, nail the Survivor with a basic, then land one on them because they are looking for the bait. Some interesting mindgame potential with him that I don't find on other Killers.

His portals... dunno. I like using them, but even with the stealth effects, I rarely ever get even close to a grab or something like you can with Myers. I use them mostly to pressure the whole map, placing them in out of the way places, near enough to gens but far enough away they won't get closed too quickly. Need to work on my placement more of course, 40 levels is barely enough time to scratch the surface, but overall I like this little addition to his arsenal as it is.

Overall, fun AF to play for me. Even when I get rekt I have a fun match. I play more for that though than to "win". 4k means nothing to me. I just want to enjoy myself.
