100% Killer
Im just curious. I play both sides but title myself a killer main because I have the most hours and fun with killer. Atm I play a lot survivor (like 70% of the time).
So I wonder are there players who only play killer?
I know many 100% survivor players, only touching killer for dailys sometimes. But I havent encountered the opposite tbh. Do they exist?

I think in order to be a better survivor, or a better killer, you kind of have to play both sides to an extent. I don't know of anyone who truly only plays one side.

I used to only play killer, but I will hop onto survivor every now and then. But usually, I am frustrated with the bad matchmaking or killers running the overpowered characters and items. I probably play killer about 80-90% of the time currently, because it is nice to not have to rely on your team to get the job done.
Killer you can only blame your losses on yourself; survivor you can get a rank 15 team to face a rank 1-2 killer and it's pretty pointless to even try.

Thats what I was thinking too. But in fact I have some friends only playing survivor for like 2 years now. They just dont like playing killer and so never play that role.

I play 95% killer i'd bet.
Not quite 100% but i may as well be. Even if you look at my levels you'd see every killer P3 50 with most perks (besides hag i dont like hag).
Only survivor i have at P3 50 is Claudette the rest is base 50 or lower. Haven't put a single point into survivors since Ash almost a year ago.
I play Claudette sometimes and do archives challenges that's about it

I play about 90% time as killer. I enjoy salt.

Would you say your game experience could be improved by playing more survivor?

Sounds tasty xD
May I ask, what is the reason for your 90%?

Me personally, someone who watches a lot of survivor DbD videos/twitch streamers? No.
If you don't do that then i'd say yes 100% you need to experience both sides in some way to improve your experience.
By watching good survivors play you can get the same information about what survivors do/how they behave you just don't master how to do it yourself.
If anything i find putting all of my time into just killer has made me better at killer than if i balanced between the two.

I only played killer for years and was forced into playing survivor by the challenges recently. I've only been playing survivor on twitch to track the time spent and have roughly 22 hours of survivor to 1.2k hours of killer. I came from F13th and hated the random nature of who got killer, so never had any interest until the rift. I'm on console and we don't have access to good stats so I hated compromising my playtime data

sounds reasonable.
How was your experience when playing survivor? Did something change for you?

In general, I like to earn more bp and to have more control over my games. Survivors genrush me from time to time, but I have Rancor, NOED and other tools to have a fair amount of fun. After huge the hatch nerf (yes, it was huge for solo mode), Im no longer survivor main. The hatch now is killer sided. Exit gates can spawn near each other or be both visible when standing between them. Its easy to deny escape. Add slugging on top. If I play solo survivor = its solo. Its not a team to me when I go solo. If you punish me for other players playing bad, you ruin all my experience. Now Im killer and I'll make sure survivors dont get free escapes, if devs design it so. Sometimes I give the hatch to the strongest survivors, but they work hard to earn it.

Yeah I can understand that. Although I have a different opinion on the hatch and gate topic, I can relate to your solo experience. It is really frustrating to play a "team game" alone. Thanks for your reply

I play 90% killer mainly because of the queue times for survivor.

I play as killer mainly due to avoiding button mashing on 2nd stage hook
Gotta protect my precious keyboard :)

I mainly play killer. I usually only play survivor for either a de-stresser or for dailies. Survivor just never clicked for me like killer did.

I was more convinced how easy survivor was, and how truly unfair gen speed really is. I got to rank 9 and can barely do skillchecks. Not the best at chases either but I know how to burn their time very well. Ruin skillchecks and doctor were surprisingly not bad at all, I was surprised how little effect madness has on survivors, it took me a few tries to snap out of it but otherwise I felt pretty safe. Plus I can hit great skillchecks easier if there's 2-3 stacks of huntress lullaby. Didn't see a single clown yet, I'm least afraid of oni since I know how weak and clumsy he is. After several easy escapes in a row it's surprising to get downed. My next few killer games after knowing how survivors run were straightup exterminations.

Also quite a few of my deaths were due to the button not registering I was hitting it during struggle phase, I'll be mashing it like you're suppose to and it just cuts out 30 seconds early, that's been the most difficult part of survivor thusfar. I streamed the entire thing on my twitch. I slept maybe 7 hours those 3 days and probably dropped some language I'm deeply ashamed of though. I did get a few friendly killers for some of the more bs challenges, and liked giving the clearly outmatched new killers tips. I sent apology messages if I had to use flashlights

Over 1100 hrs on killer, 30 minutes on survivor. I happened to start on killer by luck and immediately dealt with the toxic welcome wagon across multiple games. Now I exclusively hunt down the other side and wouldn't have it any other way.

Sounds brutal xD
Do you think focusing on one side lets you perform that good?
Do you think you could perform any better if you would play a bit more survivor?

until june 2018 i was like 75% surv (1200h at that time) made a break after 2x bp event vs clowns, saw spirit, played some games vs her and decided to play killer (only to not play vs her), after OG moonwalk legion i stopped playing surv for good while, and made around 700h only on killers, now im kinda 50/50 because i enjoy playing both roles, on killer i dont feel like i have to kill survs (only pushing kills vs infinite window abusers, or exploiters like that hook tech) on surv i dont feel like i have to genrush i do my 5 totems (with small game) search 3 chests (with plunders) and im ready to go and maybe escape
now i have over 2250h

right now ive been playing killer 100% of the time, cause survivor queue times have been extremely bad, and its not even worth the wait most of the time anyway
i still find killer fun but i like playing like a little more than half my games killer and the rest survivor, so it doesnt get stale extremely quickly

I used to play more killer than survivor but lately i've just stopped playing in general.

I think it does. I learn the nuances of killers because a new one has powers inherent to them unlike survivors which are skins and perks. I usually watch others play survivor to get better but I use my killer BPs to level up my David for when I decide to play more of that side.

Been playing since 2016 and only played survivor twice. Once when I first got the game and then a couple of weeks ago to get the tome challenge.
To be honest when I first heard about the game i didn't know how they were going to get anyone to play survivor. I figured they would have to put the game out in North Korea and not tell them you could play killer.
It's a little weird in that I don't know about "killer culture", how other killers treat the survivors and what not, and I'm sure I have a distorted view of survivors as well (90% bad word heads 10% chill....I know that can't be right but it's my perception)

I use to play probably 80% killer and 20 survivor. That is probably reversed now because I just don't find killer very fun to play anymore. I still call myself a killer main though as I don't want to be associated with the majority of survivors.

Yes, I am 100% killer, play on the survivor only if I have challenge...
