Bamboozle,do you use it?

Yes,this series is back. I have some important/interesting forums to post so don't get too excited.

Bamboozle,it's on the bloodweb rn and it can deny infinites that evolve window vaulting. Really useful tool for killers that suck in the chase.

Do you use it? Let me know down below.

I love to use it on my Ghostface and Michael it's just so fun when it works

Plus it's an awesome counter to that ironworks super loop

I use on michael because he already has an increased vaulting speed in tier 2 and 3 and that's it.

It is not a good perk to run if you know how tiles work imo.

    Sometimes.

I don't think I've ever ran it. Aside from blocking god windows, where you shouldn't be chasing anyway, I feel like you only really benefit from it by being able to force an early pallet drop against average survivors who just try to loop a single tile until it's used and then move on to the next one. These are not the survivors that you need help catching.

I am not a baby killer that can't moonwalk / doing mindgames, so I never use this noob perk.

However, it has some values on 10-15% maps that contain the most annoying windows (ironworks, ...) -> would you use a perk slot for these 10-15% maps ? My answer is "no".

I use it sometimes as Legion but more as a meme then actual perk

    Bamboozle+Fire Up=insta vaults

It is really good and i probably should use it more on m1 killers

Also was it nerfed recently? It seems to take a second before the blocking happens. I don't remember that being the case before

Survivors can actually vault a window you just vaulted before it becomes blocked

I use it on Wraith. However, I tend to forget that I’m running it and just play like I don’t have it.

Only on Legion. Vaulting windows and pallets at super speed during Frenzy feels amazing and lessens the time they have to go around the pallet again, or just completely blocks the window off.

I sometimes run it with Fire Up on Clown, then just fool around till the third gen pops - then suddenly it's like "Oh are we supposed to be looping now? Nah i'ma just dive this window like it isn't even there and roundhouse kick your-"

Not in a long time, I think.

I rather try to mindgame certain Tiles instead of just using Bamboozle. I feel it is kinda cheap.

It has its uses on those super strong windows like Iron Works for example, but those should not exist/be that strong in the first place.

(btw: I think the Buff to Bamboozle was not necessary)

I like to run Brutal Strength, Bamboozle, and Fire Up all together, so yes! The vault speed from Bamboozle and Fire Up give me a lot of hits that I wouldn't normally get, even at TL walls.

It's part of my regular rotation. It's fairly rare that someone gets truly "bamboozled" from it, but it is hilarious when they do. You can practically see the survivor mouthing "OH #$%^"!

I don't use it on my main, but if I were to play as Myers, I'd probably use it on him to stack it with the vault speed increase from EW3 Myers.

Yeah, that's what I was trying to do by bleeping out the "P" word. Thanks for ruining my attempt at keeping things G-rated.

You mean bandageboozle, no I don't. It's only needed for god loops and is a great example of why you can't balance a game with perks.

    This explains it very well.

It is good and needed for those Structures like Iron Works, Torment Creek BS Window or Abattoir BS Window. But also used on Structures where it should not be needed.

If I want to give survivors the big leg in style on Myers, then yes. Vault memes.

yes and it's crazy how good it works, an amazing perk actually.

Tbh, it only works against noob and mediocre survivors. Very rarely bamboozle can catch good survivors. If you hate all god windows, then yeah it’s good. Usually windows are places where you want the survivors to make a play and try to get a hit. If you deny the windows, it’s just gonna be a pallet drop or running towards the next loop.

I’m surprised no one mentions Billy. Bamboozle is a good perk on Myers, Billy, Demo. Only these three killers can capitalize on this perk imo. Apparently Tier3 Myers with bamboozle is terrifying. You can quick vault the window and lunge it after the vault, very strong. For Billy, you can block the windows and get a bigger chance of chainsawing. For Demogorgon, Bamboozle and I’m all ears can catch the best survivors off long wall jungle gyms. You do a window fake and this guarantees a hit with demo’s lunge.

I don't. It gives an obvious audio notification and it doesn't mitigate the value of strong windows enough to warrant a perk slot. Grim Pantry takes 16 seconds to loop, so Bamboozle won't cover that window. Coal Tower has safe pallets around the building to wait out the 16 seconds. Ironworks window is usually adjacent to a jungle gym. It's just not worth a slot.

It’s just more useful on certain killers and clearly not useful on others. It’s so {not} useful on enough killers that if you primarily play those killers, I can see how you’d think it’s a noob perk.

I’d think that if Spirit bamboozled a window, maybe dealing with a player who doesn’t understand the killer’s power. If Huntress or Billy does that, I’d feel trapped.

well, i usually play with Freddy, his traps are anti loops, combined with bamboozle it makes me catch survs much faster

  • AGM
    AGM Member Posts: 806

Imo not worth the perk slot. It's only useful for shack and god windows, but sometimes it doesn't even last long enough for that when a survivor can just run to a nearby loop and then back to the window.

It’s really good on Haddonfield and Hawkins. Other than that, I’m not sure if it’s worth it.

Not often, but when I get a few specific maps (you know the ones) I really wish I brought it. Regardless those particular windows should not be in the game in 2020.
