Killers and Survivors Shouldn’t Be Able To Body Block
Comments

Would create a lot of collision issues, and it would simply allow people to walk through killers using perks such as Dead Hard and such. Would be extra annoying considering the FOV of killers, especially as Huntress/Billy and such.

Survivors using it against eachother is actually beautiful, since it reinforces the rule of "Survive together...or not."

Survivors shouldn´t be able to body block a killer who tripples their weight. Not in front of the hook, nor to give other survivors the free exit.
Killers shouldn´t be able to block the stairs of the basement.4 -

In my opinion the killer should be able to push survivors slowly away.

Blocking is a ******* strategy as much as anything else. Hook blocking is a legit survivor strategy. Plain and simple. And the ability to block the basement is necessary. Thats the killers base. There should absolutely be no reason for anyone to 'feel safe' there. Its what makes the place dangerous. Leave blocking alone.

Blocking the killer basement isn’t necessary. It’s called taking the game hostage especially when they just stand there and refuse to hit anyone to let them pass.Taking the game hostage occurs only when you don't hit anyone and just block the basement indefinitely. Blocking the basement is just blocking the basement.

Freddy doesn't have to worry about bodyblocking at all since he doesn't even exist in the waking world lol.

Blocking is fine on both sides.0

Yes, I know that, but I can literally not tell you the amount of times where the killer has thrown a tantrum and blocked the stairs until I DC’ed. They need to make the stairs widerWhat makes you think he's "throwing a tantrum"? I've literally never had this happen as Survivor.

I have never experienced this at all. But @ZombieGenesis is right. you might of just got unlucky.

Both need to jump in locker at bottom of stairs.
You'll see who throws the temper tantrum then.

Being able to do this is just unhealthy for the game especially when Survivors use it against each other. It needs to be removed, aside from the add-ons that are effected by body block like Scarred Hand.no.

Blocking the basement is a great counter to Borrowed Time and its also a great reason to go to the trouble of hanging them in the basement as opposed to any ol' hook. Surely you understand that.

@Orion @ZombieGensis
It was on the swamp map (grim pantry I think), the killer was a nurse, and the basement was in the main building.
After all the gens we’re doing and the exit games were powered, I ended up getting hooked in the basement but it just so happened that I had adrenaline.. so after a Quentin runs down to save me and I’m automatically healthy... as soon as I head for the stairs, the nurse is standing in the middle of it not letting me or the Quentin pass. Everyone including my friend escaped and it was just me and the Quentin stuck in the basement with the nuse. We stood there for 10 mins with them not budging, could’ve been longer but I decided to DC because my SWF group was waiting on me. Turns out as soon as I DC’ed, they let the Quentin go.
I messaged the killer and they told me they bodyblocked the stairs because I bodyblocked for my friend they were tunneling and camping on the hook. L-M-A-O killer logic.1 -

Killers will do anything to justify themselves.
If you find yourself body blocked on stairs in basement just have both jump in locker, it insures one escape.

When billies body block you and rev their chainsaw when there's clearly enough room to fit through or side dash through in a irl scenario but you can't... dbd life, lol....

No. Bodyblocking is forbidden and listed as a reason for report. So it definitly isn´t a legit strategy.

Thats what you say until suddenly survivors are using a killers body like a swing door. Spinning him and then when he is proper confused just standing inside of him. Yeah no Body collision and blocking needs to stay. So many fun and interesting aspects of the game would be ruined.
As a survivor. Saving people from hook as a team, one taking the hit and the other saving. Bodyblocking to a hook, why hit when you can just run straight through them. Unhooking a survivor and conga lining to the exit while switching who blocks the killer for each hit.
As a killer. Bubba, Billy, trapper, and a lot of other killers like being able to punish people that hide in corners by using their powers on them. Its very ######### disorienting enough as it is that your fov makes tracking survivors close up difficult but if they could go actually through you, whats to stop a survivor from going through your torso and blocking a hit from you, or severaly survivors standing inside each other to make hitting the right one nearly impossible.
Plus 1 huge and simple factor, it wouldnt feel right if everyone was just "ghosts". It would look goddamn weird.

I think there should be something implemented that if you have collision with another player for 10-15 seconds you can pass through them. This way if killer is trying to block a survivor in a corner they need to choose either hit the survivor or risk survivor getting away uninjured. Survivors would no longer be able to trap another survivor in a corner for portion of the match.

I had this happen to me on PS4 in Iron Works basement by a Spirit after getting hooked. She refused to hit us and wouldn't leave the stairs when both myself and the player that saved me went back into the basement. Just waited for gens to be finished and EGC kill us.
