Did they revert Rank Reset??

Ok so I’m a PS4 Player, and have two accounts my main account and an account I am learning nurse on. Since the previous rank rest I have not touched my main account only my baby nurse account, as I was waiting on the 2nd Tome to be released to start the grind on my main account.
Without much thought I just used my main account and logged in to check out the new patch. I was met with the rank rest screen showing my previous season ranks. I finished as a Rank 1 Survivor and then the next screen showing the reset placed be back down to Rank 10 with 2 pips.
Did they announce they were reverting rank reset? I was expecting to be reset to rank 5. Not that I mind, it just was unexpected.
