New Ruin

I will be honest, I can’t use Bubba as well now since the Ruin change. But it’s brought me back to Freddy.

I do like the new Ruin, I just believe it needs to be removed from being a Hex or at least not activate until X amount of gens have been completed or time has passed.

Yes, it’s an insidious perk now, but too many times my Hex Totem spawns in the open or literally right behind a generator. This causes it to be destroyed without Survivors knowledge of it being Ruin just because it glows.

The regression is pretty cool because it takes away from having to kick generators all the time. But I don’t agree with it remaining a Hex. It’s not that strong of a perk to require being able to be destroyed from the game. Survivors can still knock out generators left and right regardless of the regression unless they just ignore the generators (which high level survivors don’t do especially in SWF).

Any input from people that aren’t going to complain and have decent play with new Ruin.

    Most of my builds use PGTW now. Each kick gives me twenty seconds, minimum.

    Wrecking Ruin should open up pathways to trying out new builds. I probably would’ve never used Dying Light like I have been these last few weeks if not for the announcement.

    I agree it's not strong enough to be a hex, regression should be increased and it should also slightly increase gen repair time. It would be better the way it is if it wasn't a hex perk.

    Also, it's weird how this ruin nerf can buff stronger killers while making the weak killers even weaker, new ruin makes jumpscare myers stronger and the ruin + surveillance combo makes killers like Billy, Spirit, Ghostface and Wraith even stronger. The combo is also extremely strong if you are playing Plague with black incense.

    So I for one have no complaints for this change. So here is my setup

    Hex Ruin

    Power Surge

    Pop Goes the Weasel (combo with Power Surge)

    Unnerving Presence (increase terror radius)

    This is for the Doctor Killer

    I played about 5 games yesterday and I feel really no difference than your usual game. What i did was pressure the entire team. I wouldn't chase for long periods of time. I would get people off those gens - If i see a generator nearly done I chase everyone off and come back to it. Its a bit more work but I personally enjoy it. Assuming Hex is still running - If not of course I use Power Surge and Pop Goes the Weasel its a good combo when you are successful in hooking someone. 4th Perk can be a toss up i suppose I use the terror increase for Doctors Static Blast but you can use others. I use Discordance or Franklin Smith for laughs.

    BTW im enjoying how the new doctor works! My opinion!
