Why are there so many maps designed without Huntress in mind?

Note I'm mostly huntress main, been playing her forever at Reds since Holding W and pressing M1 is Zzzzz

Getting a map like Temple or Ormond where a 110 killer who's redeeming quality is blocked by giant buildings. Rotten Fields, where it takes 1 whole gen to cross the map, or a map like Sanctum (to an extent) with 10,000 objects blocking LOS, indoor maps etc

seriously, only Coldwind (except rotten fields due to size,) Macmillan (mostly) and Azerov maps are fun for her, the rest are just hell to play and make me wanna quit or at best play survivor

inb4 just git gud and apply pressure 4head lol

I also only play Huntress, most of the maps are fine but I feel quite miserable on all closed maps.

I never had problems on maps you mentioned.

All of the maps are kind of designed without killer in mind. Survivor is where the devs make the buckoo-bucks, so that's the side they plan to please.

I think that designing maps for Huntress in mind is difficult because while she benefits from being able to see survivors on loops, all other killers benefit from line of sight blockers such as walls so that they can mind game survivors. This puts the Huntress in an weird position because situations that benefit her hinder other killers.

Help help, I can't throw over every single loop. Maps need to be redesigned so I can completely ignore all of the survivor's defenses.

I get the feeling you got killed by a Huntress with Iridescent Head recently.

Huntress has the perfect amount of counterplay at most low wall loops; she has just as much of a chance at hitting a Survivor as they have at avoiding her Hatchets assuming both sides are paying attention to the other.

As far as the original post goes, I only have issues with Sanctum of Wrath and Temple of Purgation. They're just too big to reasonably patrol the gens, even as a 115% Killer, and they have a ton of annoying obstructions.

Oh and Haddonfield sucks too, but it sucks for every Killer, not just Huntress.

No, it's just 1/3 of my matches are against huntress I would guess. And there is a reason for it. You just aim in the general direction of the survivor and get a hit because the hitboxes are 2x the size of the hatchets. Anyone complaining she needs a buff needs a smack on the head.

Like was said before, Huntress benefits from being able to throw over debris and loops. Most killers benefit from being able to break line of sight with the survivor to hide their stain.

Map size is a major issue for both sides, but hurts Huntress definitely since it takes her basically half a gen to be able to traverse to one side of the map. That's why some Huntress players want 115 movement speed on her.

If they downsized maps and had a good mix of loops that can be thrown over and and high walls like jungle gyms that can be red stain mindgamed, Huntress and other killers wouldn't be so map dependent.
