Matchmaking adjust within weeks? Seriously WEEKS?
According to the Q and A they are rolling out a fix to matchmaking within weeks... note they didn't say how many so it could be 2, 3, 4 or more.
So Rank 17 killers have been getting matched up against Red Rank survivors for almost 2 months now and they have no clear end in site?
Sorry to be rude and blunt but seriously. I'm sure the white knights will be out defending them that I don't know what they have to do, but look at a game like WoW they roll out a hotfix generally within 24 hours for any serious problem.

It would be understandable
They ######### up now.
They was meanning to do it to fix the survivor waitting time.
But it made lower rank killer harder to rank up which only made things worse.
And the same time the "balance team" remove ruin without fix the gen speed.
The number between killer and survivor in high rank could be one of the highest number in history.
They really ######### up now.
So it must take lot of time to figuer out how to solve the problem.
Especially they have the worst balance team i have never seem before even though i have more than 200 games in my steam.

Forget the balance team, that's at least something that is kind of judgment which is stronger, needs buff or nerf etc
This is tech, actually playing the game the way it should be played. That should be priority number one.

They have always been slow with updates/hotfixes. I wish we could see updates like other games every week or two. Small balance tweaks is all I'm asking for. 1/2 second here and there... major stuff could still come out during the new killer releases and mid patches.

I suspect there are (at least) two issues at the same time:
- not enough players within certain ranks, depending on area / time
- the priority to match ranks goes in conflict with the time priority of people which were already in queue
One thing that I noticed is that as a survivor I may take forever to join a lobby, but once I do even if the killer dodges it, a new killer will come in a very short time. This leads me to believe that a quicker match making is possible, but they are facing very tricky bugs and/or decisions, especially regarding point 2.

Design team: amazing
Balance team: worst I have seen in a game in all my time of playing video games
Technical team: does not exist
(i put bug fixes, making the MMing working etc all under technical team)

I'm just happy that it has been acknowledged and is being worked on. I wasn't expecting to see a change anytime soon, so "weeks" doesn't sound to bad at this point.

This game's team outside of art and visuals utterly fail at designing a fun & fluid experience for any lenght of time.... 3 days now of this bullshit (others longer)....they've been given immense amount of feedback for a LONG time on the matchmaking issues...it is inexcusable for these type of matches to continue to happen. Give me a longer queue time if it means I actually get matched correctly, or give compensation for these drastic differences....
I WANT to play & enjoy this game...not be matched against SWF Red Squads over n over, that are effectively bullying Killers across all Ranks. Weeks, an undisclosed amount of time btw, for a fix that we've been given zero details about isn't really uplifting news. I am fine with my skillcap/skill ceiling that these players ARE better at the game than I am....hence where my bloody damn placement should be reflective of this. Ive had ONE day out 4, with playing off & on all day, where matchmaking worked.....3 days, estimating about 25-30ish or so matches that were 3-4 Red Ranks that had no business going against anyone below Red Rank Killer... And no, experience vs potato Survivors or overly altruistic ones is NOT an example to debunk the BS nature of matchmaking...

This leads me to believe the fix will come with an explanation of what's been going on and why we can be optimistic it won't happen again? Not just, "matchmaking has been fixed."

It's been two months already, 2-3 more weeks makes it a problem for three months... three months with no replies other than we're looking into it.

Not asking you to go into details right now, but will there be details coming as to why this has been an absolute nightmare for new killers specifically for months?

Not saying that it hasn't been a long time. It's just that there has been so little communication from the devs about the issue. I had no idea if they had any plans or were even looking into it. It may not be as soon as we would like, but at least now I know they have a plan.

As someone who wants to become a game programmer in the future, I enjoy seeing why something goes wrong to cause bugs in games. Excited to see your guys' explanation.

I really hope so because this situation is becoming unbearable, as a killer it has become close to a nightmare, as a survivor the fun level has gone deep down.
I truly hooe you guys will find a way to make the miracle because the game is almost unplayable as it is now.

My confusion is about 90% of my games as a red rank survivor, solo queue, with all other red rank survivors who may or may not be SWF I guess are against rank 10-15 killers. Who exactly is getting matched against the red rank killers?

It’s crazy, I’m lucky I used to be red rank killer (low red like 4) before I changed to so much Survivor so I at least have a shot if the reds are the “bad reds.”
