Community | Play With The Devs Postponed
Hello people of the Fog,
We had planned a really cool “Play with the devs” event today but we decided to reschedule it to a later date.
As you all know, I am sure, we have been experiencing some serious instability since Tuesday preventing a lot of you from logging into the game. It felt inappropriate to have a joyful, casual moment with you while some of our players are unable to get into the game.
The problem comes down to the surprisingly high number of players trying to play the game right now. Our infrastructure was unable to withstand the load.
Since then, we have been working relentlessly on improving things. We rapidly created a whole new instance of our backend so that we could split the PC and consoles. This had the intended result for the PC version which has been back up and stable since yesterday afternoon. For some reason we’re not yet sure of, the console version still can’t support the amount of requests coming in. We have been feverishly working on different possible solutions. So far, the problem persists.
Rest assured that we will get to the bottom of this and everyone that can help will be working exclusively on this issue until all of you are back to the Summer BBQ event. Until then, we will make sure to update you regularly on our progress.
