Oi've got a brand new combine harvester!
Hello,
on the Farm maps, is the "special route" on the combine harvester considered an exploit, or is this something that as killers we just have to deal with? I don't want to go into detail, as I know it's against the rules if it is an exploit and would hate to feel the wrath.
Would be nice to have some clarity!

Are you talking about the route where you can walk onto the hay bale and to the other side of where you would normally vault?

In that case, it's been confirmed by devs to be fair game. It's a good way for Killers to make the harvester less safe for Survivors.

@TAG Oh, considering the loop fest I experienced earlier, it was anything but less safe!
@HellDescent , I understand that it's against forum rules to share exploits on forums so just using the loosest terms possible, rather than go into explicit detail.
@Tatariu I've seen them vault to the right and then go left, but never right onto the other bales, so was really taken aback...

@Supernaut Sharing with intention of promoting it - yes. But not for trying to clarify something due to being uncertain, this is one of the reasons the forum is for

I find that it actually is advantageous for the Killer. You can cut across and go for the hit right then and there unless they double back immediately. Worst-case scenario, they can't reliably give you the run-around on the harvester and either have to abandon it or risk getting hit. That's been my experience as a Killer, at least.

I think it's kinda dirty myself, like jumping on those rocks that killer can't reach but am dealing with it. The worst part is that withou the pickup vacuum it can take a bit longer to pick them up than it should if they crawl into a couple spots on the hay

I thought it was a pretty sneaky move when a GF just waltzed right on over it toward me. I didn't know if I should congratulate him or rage for it. Either way, it's a pretty good play to avoid being hit attempting to vault as normal

Was the first time I'd been run like that, so really not sure why I was struggling to catch them?

Not an explot. Do it all you want! It used to take skill and precision to be able to do it, but the devs made it easier to do it, after accidentally removing it.

Had to use my phone, so forgive me if it looks splotchy. But basically, there's a metal panel sticking out that the Killer can walk onto (which is why the blue path looks like it is cutting through what you think is a wall) and then lunge onto the hay bale from the opposite direction the Survivor is trying to travel. If they don't vault back the other way fast enough, you can lunge from the bale to the harvester exit and hit them.
