Event Items

I was scrolling through character inventories and realized I have a quiet a few event items saved up. I realized I had no idea if some of them actually did anything aside from the cosmetic effect such as all hallows eve medkit, spooky flashlight, and firecrackers. The flashlight says increases chances of friendly ghosts this may be a silly question but does that actually mean anything or was @BHVR just trying to be funny? Also not entirely sure what firecrackers do or how to use them so any insight on these items are greatly appreciated.

If you shine the flashlight on a wall, you’ll see a ghost-shaped silhouette.

fire crackers are actually pretty useful. If the killer is chasing you, drop them and he’ll be blinded! Timing is a little tricky though, as you want the blast to be right in front of his eyes. You can also use them to save a teammate who’s being carried. beyond this, they make a noise notification if you want to draw his attention at any point.

I'll just list each event item with their own description below, just so it clears up any confusion or future confusion. Only 5 event items for Survivors exist at this time, so only 5 will show up on this list below.

(Side-Note) All of these items are used by pressing the M2 button for PC or the equivalent to the M2 on console! Basically, the M2 is the button the allows you to heal yourself with a med-kit or use a flashlight for example.

    • [Winter Party Starter] (By pressing M2 or the equivalent to M2 on console you can drop your Winter Party Starter and blind The Killer and any Survivors that're near and looking in the direction of it's explosion. The effects it gives off is similar to fireworks going off.)
    • [Chinese Firecracker] (By pressing M2 or the equivalent to M2 on console you can drop your Winter Party Starter and blind The Killer and any Survivors that're near and looking in the direction of it's explosion. The effects it gives off is quite short in the sense of visuals, but that doesn't mean it's literally less effective than the other versions of this item.)
    • [3rd Year Party Starter] (By pressing M2 or the equivalent to M2 on console you can drop your Winter Party Starter and blind The Killer and any Survivors that're near and looking in the direction of it's explosion. The effect this version gives off is similar to the Winter Party Starter except the colors that the fireworks give off is changed from blue and white to red and black.)
    • [Will-O-Wisp Flashlight] (By pressing M2 and pointing your Flashlight at the Killers eyes, you can blind them for a set amount of time depending on the Flashlight you're using at the add-ons it has. The Will-O-Wisp Flashlight is just essentially a normal standard yellow Flashlight with a funny description about "Considerably increases friendly Ghosts in your life." as well as giving off an unnatural effect that displays a "spooky ghost" wherever you shine it, preferable on a wall to fully display this ghost. A reference picture will be displayed at the end for context.)
    • [All Hallows' Eve Lunchbox] (Not much to say about a med-kit, when you hold M2 you heal yourself or others in the Injured state to the Healthy state. The description this med-kit has "Makes you considerably more visible." is actually not a joke unlike the Will-O-Wisp Flashlight, since it does actually make you more visible in the dark when a Killer is nearby and looking in your direction. Also, this med-kit is the equivalent to the regular First Aid Med-kit or the "Yellow Med-kit", but this med-kit just has a different look and description is all.)

reference videos & pictures for the event items

(Side-Note) The video used for most of these references is the same video that displays all these items in it, the Will-O-Wisp Flashlight is shown in this video but it wasn't used since the image is a lot easier to show as an example. Also, the video was kept in link form to keep from cluttering this comment with the same video 3 times.

Make sure to get your item build out too, they should be an optional item you can grab when you search any chests in-game.

One word legend. Pulling items out of matches has been my jam lately on DBD. Thanks for the reminder lol
