Rift experience question

Hi, I just finished all the tome 2 part 1 challenges tonight, and it seems I cannot gain any further experience toward the rift. Is this by design? I'm stuck at tier 14th on the rift. This is what it shows when I hover over the Rift button. I also don't see the exp bar for the rift after a trial.

This is a bug with the current Tome, but it's purely visual - you are still earning experience and Rift progress, you just can't see it.
