Killer Tierlists are DUMB

DUMD! I hate the way killer tierlists are done. Dead by Daylight is a game that utilizes builds with perks and add ons, sometimes no 2 killers will play alike entirely based on their builds. To exclude these from Tierlists is counterintuitive. A tierlist is made with the assumption that you are as good as you possibly can be, as is your opponent. After skill you look at what will give you an edge up. But these Tierlists exclude advantages. A better way to do these is to first make a tierlist for specific killers and rate their builds. And THEN you add the best build to the list with other killers and THEIR best builds.

Tierlist in general are kinda dumb. They only really matter for the highest level of play. It really doesn't matter for 90% of the player base tbh

Sure but some killers will be objectively better. It's just the issue of competitive games.

Like a fully optimized legion or clown will never compare to a fully optimize Billy or Freddy.

In fighting games we have tier lists but I have won tournaments with low tier "impossible to win" characters before. I used to be called a garbage man because I always picked the lowest of tier characters. I had to work way harder then others but it paid off.

Tier list just means most options, best skills, easiest to win with, etc. It already accounts for most optimization.

Like in blazblue calamity trigger Rachel is top tier with bang being bottom tier. Bang can beat Rachel but he doesn't have as many options, good frames, damage output, and more. Statistically Rachel will beat bang 99% of the time in this version of blazblue.

The same is here. In most scenarios Billy just comes out on top. There's even some where stock Billy beats optimized other killers. Which is why he is top tier. Clown has such limited potential that I can't even think of a scenario he is good at that others aren't better at
