Is David Kings Perk 'We're Gonna Live Forever' based off a Oasis song
I was doing my totem challenges for survivor and i saw David Kings perk challenge where you have to unhook safely or get protection hits and i was listening to a Oasis song called 'Live Forever' and there is a lyric were the lead singer says 'You and I, We're Gonna Live Forever' and so I started to think. David King is from England, Manchester. Oasis is a band based in Manchester and back in the day when Oasis were in their prime, people like David King would listen to them. Also the song mentions the lead singer saying that he doesn't want him or the other person to die and he wants to experience everything in life with this other person, just like when you unhook someone or take a hit for someone, its because you want them to live and play on the match while you can and have a good time with them (just like David King in the pub). I want to hear what everyone else thinks about this. I haven't seen or heard anyone talk about this before so i think that this would be a interesting thing to talk about as it gives David even more character and personality.

Hello, i’ve been trying to complete this challenge, but for some reason it doesn’t work, i used the perk, i unhooked a survivor safely (i got the 500 bloodpoints for that, so i know it was safely) and it dosent count, do i need to take the 4 protection hits as well ? It said « or »... but who knows....

This thread is about the perk, not the challenge, so it's not the best place to ask a question like that. But I can see you're new to the forum, so it's okay 😊 Welcome!
Also, I'll answer your question. The requirements for that challenge are not very clearly worded. You have to unhook four survivors safely, or take four protection hits, or a combination of the two (e.g. two safe unhooks and two protection hits). The requirements for the challenge could be better understood as "on four separate occasions in a single match, rescue a survivor from the hook safely or take a protection hit". So it sounds like your problem is that you only managed one safe unhook. Hope that helps!
