Evader Emblem Category | Changes
Prologue
Hello, since recently the developers are making changes to the ranking system, I feel like it would be a good idea to remaster the emblem system for survivors, starting with Evader.
If you disagree with something, you're more than welcomed to argue this with me and we can work towards a solution. 😁
Evader
1.) Being in a chase will give you 1 out of 100 points towards your iridescent emblem quality. If the killer is in multiple chases or is carrying another survivor, you will not gain any points.
2.) Points earned in the first 15 seconds of a chase is halfed, so you will receive 0.5 out of 100 points towards your iridescent emblem quality.
3.) Getting downed will cause you to lose 50% of your points earned from that chase.
4.) Stealth is rewarded when you complete actions without entering a chase.
- Repairing 1% of a generator will award 0.2 out of 100 points towards your iridescent emblem.
- Healing 1% of a survivor will award 0.1 out of 100 points towards your iridescent emblem.
- Opening 1% of an Exit Gate will award 0.1 out of 100 points towards your iridescent emblem.
You don't not earn stealth points if the killer is in a chase with another survivor, and if you been in a chase in the last 15 seconds.
Here's an example of how this version of the emblem system would work:
Survivor A has been in a chase for 110 seconds in total, with chase A being 60 seconds and chase B being 50 seconds.
Survivor A repaired 40% of a generator and healed 80% of other survivors, stealthy.
This survivor would earn 61 out of 100 points on the Evader Emblem category, which would likely be a silver Evader emblem quality.
Reasoning For Each Change:
1.) This will reward you points for being in a chase, nothing special here besides the conditions to not earn points. I feel like you shouldn't earn points when the killer is in a chase with multiple survivors or is carrying a survivor because the killer hasn't committed to chasing you yet.
2.) This is a safety net in the case the killer isn't committed to chasing you, but is rather trying to zone you away from something. An example of this would be the killer chasing you away from a pallet then dropping the chase to quickly pick-up the dying survivor and avoid a pallet save. Obviously, the killer wasn't committed to chasing you, so you should get less chase points because of that.
3.) Since you lost the chase, you should be punished by losing 50% of the points you earn in that chase. However, if you lose the killer or make a lot of distance, breaking the chase allows you to keep your points.
4.) This is my favorite part because stealth is now rewarded when it's used productively, unlike before you can earn stealth points by not contributing to your team's escape efforts. I made sure to add conditions to make sure that you're only rewarded these points when the killer is searching for survivors. Getting stealth points when the killer is chasing someone wouldn't be fair because the killer already found someone and thus, it would be too easy to earn stealth points when the killer isn't looking for you.
Epilogue
Hopefully, you will agree with my changes, and as always — comment if you want to discuss something. 😁

Sure, these are good changes. I don't play survivor often, but they seem good.

Basically, this is making the Evader emblem represent skill in stealth and chases more accurately. 😁
I really hope a developer will see this, but I don't know, I'm not faithful at the moment. 😕

Well, I play stealthy hen I do play survivor so that's a plus!
Yeah, kind of doubt that, to be honest.

The evader emblem is confusing the way it is now and definitely needs change. I'm doing the rift challenge that I need 5 Silver or better. So I played a game against a Huntress with iridescent head and fast windup add on. Fixed multiple gens, 4 totems, chased once but got downed and hooked. Pretty much avoided detection when I heard her coming near and at the end she had NOED so I left with 1 survivor and I on the hook. RIP. but I didn't even get Silver? If you hardly get seen and survive the match I think you should definitely earn Silver at minimum. Its called the damn "EVADER" emblem, lol

Not bad; but I always favor rewarding stealth by having a 'bonus BP' awarded at the end of match for percentage of game not found by killer or in a chase; as well as giving all Survivors a Bonus 10% of whatever their teammates earn to reward them based on how well their team played.

Hi buddy
In the first place -WOW it looks like you dedicated some time to think about this idea and put it across. Good job! Very well explained.
