Idk ever since ruins nerf i've seen a lot of devour hope lately or i'm just unlucky. (im saying with pickrate obviously it doesn't slow the game down like ruin used to lol)

I've always ran DH over Ruin and still do. DH is probably my favorite perk for the risk/reward factor. Seeing everyone go full totem hunting mode the second you hit someone with 3 stacks is hilarious.

on PS4 I've personally seen more Corrupt Intervention than before the ruin nerf, but that is small sample size so it is difficult to know what has taken ruin's place as the top picked perk until they release statistics again.

Not really, had a game against a devour player but he got 2 hooks in the match. At least ruin countered 4 players spawnibg together

The problem with DH is when paired with Ruin, survivors got the ruin notice as soon as they touched a gen. Then they might go looking for it only to find DH. Ruin was essential and bringing a 2nd hex perk wasn't very practical.

Now that no one is using ruin, DH is seeing a rise in use. A lot of survivors don't look for hex perks if they don't receive a notice. If they don't fall upon the totem they won't go out of their way until they see the 3rd stack notice. By then it's easy to protect it and it actually makes you feel feared as a killer.

Unlike Huntress Lullaby, which is powerful, it doesn't pay off the effort. No audio cue sounds good but by the time you get 5 hooks the match is practically over against competent survivors. Also they get the notice when they touch a gen so it only lasts if they don't want to look for it. It's too much work for so little a reward.

DH has no notice until the 3rd stack and even though half way, it pays off at that point. 2 more stacks is bragging rights cause they let you get them. DH is risky like any hex perk but unlike the others it can turn the game around in an instant. Best part is the survivors can't complain about it. They have all the tools needed to prevent it but they chose to gen rush and got punished.........Course they also had all the tools to deal with ruin and the devs helped them anyway. Next months patch, DH requires 10 hooks to get Moris -.-

Crotus prenn. Probs best spelling, but we allll know where I mean.

Corn maps in general. We may have corn vision, killers i mean, but survivors have x ray vision with the corn. At least, it feels like that. When I see my hex in a bad spot and just move on as though I don't have it anymore. Few times, DH has surprised me by reminding me it exists with insta downs

How is Devour early game gen slowdown perk.

So no, its not a replacement.

Devour is the best Hex perk right now though.
