Your favourite maps, and those you dislike?

Hello

Lets talk about maps we like and which we dont. For that matter i made a tier list. This is not based on how ballanced they are, but on how much fun i have playing them. Said that, ballancing is of course a part of why i like a certain map and others i dont.

Also i feel the need of mentioning that i dont prefere any side. I am no killer or survivor main and i like/dislike almost all maps for both sides, especially those who are on the very top and very bottom of my list.

AS you can see, i absolutly love most of the McMillan, the Autohavens and most cornfield maps.

I enjoy Crotus, both almost equally abd all of the reworked Springwood too.

Haddonfield, old Yamaoka and Ormond are okayish, it depends a lot on my mood and also the side i play (i dislike Ormond on most killers, but i like it as a survivor for example)

The maps i kinda dislike are Sanctum of Wrath (the main building is aweful and it is a bit to dark) and both red forest maps. They are very big and not very interesting in my opinion.

Game, Lerys and Lab can be removed completly and irretrievable... does not matter how ofte they will rework them (the new Lerys is as aweful as the old version imho)

So people, dont only talk about maps that you think are very well ballanced or very unballanced, please lets also talk about how much you like their design and eventually how much you enjoy them.

Kind regards

Survivor: The only map I really hate is Hawkins. I still struggle to find my way around that mess. Gens move slow because nobody can find them. Unsafe pallets everywhere. I wouldnt mind the unsafe pallets as much if the map wasn’t so confusing.

Killer: Oh boy where do I start...

Rotten fields. Corn everywhere, its so easy for survivors to hide especially immersed claudettes. The map itself is just a dull map with nothing going for it.

I’ll add the rest of the corn maps to that as well. Outdated designs and corn isn’t fun.

Yamoaka maps too. I can deal with looping but its so easy for survivors to hide in bushes here. Its more frustrating than fun. Add to that all the sound issues and its easy for them to disappear.

Azarov’s - Such an awful map. Its just too long, you need to hold off one side of the map to win unless you’re Hillbilly. Then survivors claim you camped because of it.

Also hawkins despite it being killer sided it can still be awkward. So many corridors that you’ll never see a survivor from a distance

Great: The Game, The Underground Complex, all 5 Badham Preschool maps

Good: Treatment Theatre, Father Campbell's Chapel, Shelter Woods

Somewhat ok: Family Residence, Sanctum of Wrath, Azarov's Resting Place, Gas Heaven, Rancid Abattoir, The Temple of Purgation, Coal Tower, Wreckers' Yard

Bad: Torment Creek, Ironworks of Misery, Suffocation Pit, Groaning Storehouse, Blood Lodge, Fractured Cowshed, Wretched Shop, Mother's Dwelling, Rotten Fields, Mount Ormond Resort

Please rework: Lampkin Lane, Disturbed Ward, The Thompson House

######### Swamp: Grim Pantry, The Pale Rose

Not about how good the map is for each side, but how much you enjoy those maps.

Silence, killer main! How dare you like The game and Lab!? :P

I dont know why so many people dislike the swamp. Its not my favourite by any means, but how could this map be as aweful as Indoor maps or red forest? Taste i guess

Favorite: The Game (despite it being killer-sided), Gas Heaven, Crotus Penn Asylum (both Chapel and Disturbed Ward), Springwood (all variants)

Least Favorite: Red Forest, Yamaoka Estate (both maps of each)

Quite frankly gameplay wise I don't like any of the maps but aesthetic wise I think every map is 100% spot on and beautiful

I love Lery's, even more now with it's rework simply for it's feeling that you know torture happened here. It's dark, creepy, and certainly a place you don't want to be. The worst is Hawkins. I love the map, but the issue is the damn doors! They're so loud, on top of Gens, that I can barely hear anything else around me. Not to mention the maze like coridoors.

From a killer main I like most Macmillan maps, except pit, autohavens are fun too, springwood is meh not the best not the worst, crotus is aight little better then badham. Lerys, Cooldwind, Yamaoka, Ormond, and Red forest can burn. Swamp is meh not big on it, Hawkins cans be fun depending on what killer I play but since I main billy it's usually pretty annoying, and finally I dont really like the game since whispers is infuriating to use and there aren't enough ways to go between the floors, also to many safe pallets but once those are busted it's not bad. Oh also haddonfields an instant dc.

Well, actually I play 65% survivor, 35% killer, so I am not sure if I am killer main...

I was joking, but usually those two maps are prefered by the killer and hated by survivors.

I hate them on both sides tho, it can be fun when playing as a killer but usually i am not a big of hide and seek, which is unfortunatly what those maps are (more often then not) all about.

Azarovs and MacMillians are most balanced

the rest are usually god awful for one side or the other, Cowshed, Haddonfield, Temple come to mind
