Have the emblems changed?
This question is about Gatekeeper emblems, have they changed? Or do we still have to be concerned about gens being done early game? If you say they have changed, source please?
This is the GateKeeper emblems I know about:
Your goal is to gain as many points as possible for this Emblem:
- 0 points: starting value
- 5 points: awarded for each Generator remaining for each elapsed minute (capped at 9 minutes)
- 0 points: awarded when 0 Generators remain at the end of a trial
- 200 points: awarded when 1 Generator remains at the end of a trial
- 300 points: awarded when 2 Generators remain at the end of a trial
- 400 points: awarded when 3 Generators remain at the end of a trial
- 500 points: awarded when 4 Generators remain at the end of a trial
- 600 points: awarded when 5 Generators remain at the end of a trial

That's correct yes, each minute gives you a set amount of points based on how many Generators are left. It also rewards bonus points for keeping the Gates closed when they're powered.

From the 3.5.0 patch notes:
- Gatekeeper Emblem: Flattened score value of all remaining generators so now all generators are worth the same amount (1 point per minute) regardless of the duration that they remain in the match. Also added an additional score for both gate remaining unopened at the end of the match.

So, the fact that gens are done early game still affects emblems but not as much as it did before? Or am I missunderstanding?

From my understanding, it doesn't affect the emblem as much now because you will continue to get points after the first 9 minutes.

Whether your score is affected by generators being done early in the game depends entirely on how long the remaining generators last for. Keeping generators up early game will give you a boost, but that might not end up mattering to your final emblem score if you can defend the remaining generators for long enough.
Here's a more detailed comparison of the new and old emblems that I made on a previous thread, in case it's helpful:
Basically, Gatekeeper used to increase the reward exponentially if more generators stayed up for longer. Now, it just rewards a flat amount of points per generator every minute, meaning that a killer who defends five generators for one minute will get the same amount of points as someone who defends one generator for five minutes.
If you want a more detailed explanation, the old Gatekeeper operated on a formula of p = 5 x g x t, where p is the number of emblem points granted every minute, g is the number of generators remaining and t is the number of minutes elapsed. So if a game lasted for five minutes and no generators were completed, the killer would receive 25 points in the first minute (5 x 5 x 1), 50 points in the second minute (5 x 5 x 2), 75 points in the third minute (5 x 5 x 3), 100 points in the fourth minute (5 x 5 x 4) and 125 points in the fifth minute (5 x 5 x 4), plus a bonus for having 5 generators remaining at the end of the trial.
The new Gatekeeper operates on a simpler formula of p = g, where p is the number of emblem points granted every minute, and g is the number of generators remaining. So in the same example of a 5-minute game with no generators completed, the killer would gain 5 points every minute for a total of 25 points, plus a bonus at the end of the game for no gates being opened. If two generators had been done in the first minute but the game had lasted for 9 minutes, the killer would receive 3 points every minute for a total of 27 points, plus the same bonus for no gates being opened. In this way, the new Gatekeeper emblem punishes killers much less harshly for not slowing down repairs in the early game. It's still problematic in other ways, but that's another discussion. Also, the thresholds for earning the different emblem levels (Iridescent, Gold, etc.) will presumably be adjusted to fit with the new points system.
