The only thing that got to me was how that one survivor acted towards Otz and the chat. Like yeah tunneling sucks but with two toolboxes, prove thyself, and multiple down within seconds only to have gens pop like crazy, it’s kinda impossible to bounce back without getting someone out quickly. Words last longer then a bad game and it was just uncalled for personally.

And if I could only tell you some of the nasty hatefull messages I've gotten over this game... When I LOST as killer. It's one thing to booty scoot the damn exit gate, it's entirely another to go to my profile and make comments.

Imagine if he was playing a non meta killer. The devs want a variety in perks (why they nerfed ruin mostly) and a variety of killers, yet they'll shrug off this video. This is why killer metas exist.
He's one of the best killers out there and if he can't do the job against only 2 toolboxes I'm not sure how any average Joe could do, especially against more than 2.
Oh wait, I can. It doesn't end well.

You should check the thread where people talk about the video.
To make it simple, the usual people will disect every little mistake otz made yet ignore that the survivors were totally potato who couldn't loop at all and went down like flies.
If the survivors knew how to loop, he probably lose that match. I just saw it once but I think there was not a single chase lasting longer than 20sec.
That just shows the mindset some people do have, demanding of a single person to do everything flawless and when it comes to the opposing team it is fine to hit skillchecks, nothing else required.

Yesterday I played like 5 games as Demogorgon (as rank 7) and every time I was matched against four red ranks. In 4 of those games, gens popped pretty much the same speed as in the Otz's video because of toolboxes. Since I wasn't playing a high tier killer and I avoid camping and tunneling, I only managed to get one kill in total. There was almost no time to pressure the gens.
I'd say the base generator repair speed is fine but jeez, the toolboxes make it so much worse.

What angered me the most was the post game chat, survivors played optimally as #########, barely giving Otz a chance, and then one moron has the audacity to insult him in the post game chat for """"tunneling""""

You forget he's a Survivor, the devs won't touch him because his wallet probably hasn't been emptied yet. If anything, they'll ban Otz for leaving it in the video and streaming himself "tunneling."

What's great, is to know the survivors aren't even trying 100% as much as the killer was.

Yet the devs on these forums will still comment and try to explain to you how to properly apply map pressure, while completely ignoring stuff like this, that is more common than you think. Not to mention not even acknowledging there even is a problem.
Sometimes it just feels like everything they say and everything they do is a black and white reaction to a statistic they read on a piece of paper, when that's not how game balance works. Ironically, that same mentality doesn't apply to the large amount of second chance survivor perks in the game because they help the survivor have fun.

Once again, otz, praised for his unusual and off-meta builds, shows that the only way a killer can fight the gen rush is tunneling.

They tend to screening the questions and interview themselves.
External influences are on these message boards or on seeing the occasional YouTube where they have been challenged. Someone mentioned how flashlights were only nerfed once they played against survivors who made it hell for them.

Psssh, PS won't do Jack most of the time tbh, and if I were to report every person who said some crap to me on here the PS4 population might be dead. Hell I've been getting those messages for too long to care at this point, it's just disgusting to unload so much undo negativity onto someone who you played a 10 min game with, like where do these kids get the energy?
Hell, I remember one game I had where I killed 2 of the team during the game, lol a whole 15 mins later I get a message from one of the survivors saying they posted a video of me on Facebook... Ok. Apparently he was sending it to a DBD (survivor) Facebook group with, I don't even remember how many people attached. And wouldn't you know it, the whole page was about throwing shade at the killer players and "tunneling ez killers" basically a whole page of name and shame.
The most hilarious part was he should me the video he said he took.... I wasn't in the video at all. He had a video of another hillbilly who kept chasing Laurie into the ol' LT wall with windows on Red Forest (which we also didn't play on.. of I remember correctly we were on graining storehouse, it was one of the blue filtered maps.

They never will though. Despite how 'easy' they think it is, they know for a fact that an actual player, and not a Dev, will literally hand them their ass on a plate.

I saw a killer whos way better than the survivors yet the survivors still got 4 gens done because they can hold m1. Imagine if the survivors were actually able to loop him and kill more time. He literally tunneled to get the 1st guy out of the match which is rare for otz to have to do. Imagine if he was clown or doc maybe.

Exactly. He was using billy who can sprint across the map and one shot people. Yet gens were getting done super fast regardless. Imagine how that match would have gone down if he was an M1 killer? No one would have died even if he death tunneled the one person. By the time he downed him all the gens would have been done at that rate.

Not to be that guy, but I'm pretty sure Otz had a ton of chances to slug that he never took. Slugging is seriously important, especially since I'm pretty sure one of the survivors had We'll Make It. You don't want to hook. Billy is one of the best sluggers in the game too.
That's on Otz's misplays. Even the weakest of the weak Killers can run a slugging build and win pretty often.

He said he didnt slug in the video to avoid getting hit by unbreakable i mean this is a meta 4 man team so i could see him being worried about unbreakable.

View recently played with then send messages. People used to do this all the time with MAG, twisted metal, and other games.
It still happens to my brother on ps4. It's happened to me on ps3&v

You can voice through discord but it's pretty rare even in splatoon. Hell, using the phone app with any game is a pain to get people to use.
Honestly, other than fortnite I've never used voice on switch without being in the same room

Exactly that, i can remember watching Friday night streams on another game and one of the devs thought he was hot s**t at his own game. He got so badly abused by the same guy, after multiple rematches they cut the stream early lol

Man was I pissed when I found that out too... Like I was excited to make friends on Smash Bros and get to train with some too players... But no, you can't talk to each other unless you use our stupid phone screening app... Like I'm not about to call people I don't know, even on a damn app lol.

The app isn't bad voice com it just kills your phone battery. It uses a lot of resources.
I've used it once with my nephew and it was better than discord but we switched to discord and our phones stopped over heating

Yea, I added like 30 people to my switch friends list before I realized I have a barrier to interacting with them. Maybe I should have given the app a try at least once, but It seemed like a major inconvenience that I shouldn't have had to bother with in the first place if Nintendo weren't trying so hard to endear their console to parents of 10 year olds. But then again that just is me being bitter about a gaming console that SHOULD be catering to 10 year olds.

Well, I didn't see them often and now I can't.
I really wish the switch at least had messages you could send to friends only but after the 3ds issue of pedos using hacked pokemon to exploit kids for rare/perfect pokemon for their nudes I can see why they didn't do it again.

This x1000. Being bad at the game shouldn't be viable against an equally ranked opponent, but it is. I play in a 4 man SWF sometimes and 2 of them hold W and scream when they encounter the killer. We all get out most of the time. I don't think there's necessarily a clear bias from the devs as much as there's a bias in the mechanics of the game itself. One tiny mistake as a killer will often cost games, whereas all 4 survivors can utterly fail in chases yet still escape against an average killer if they just slam gens and only send 1 in for saves.

That wasn't the case in otz's game. He won by a landslide even against prove thyself and toolboxes on a bad map using bad perks.

You can stop bitching about otz, he was the better player by a longshot, no doubt about it. The survivors were horrible.
They do not even know the fundamentals of the game but ofc you keep defending that this is fine. No wonder that the amount of people that there is nothing more to survivor than holding m1 increases, you might want to ask devs to half gen times so these potatoes always win. facepalm
